(数词)
知识梳理
一、数词分为两类：基数词和序数词。表示事物数量的数词是基数词，表示事物顺序的数词是序数词。
二、序数词的构成
1.一般在基数词后面加上-th,变为序数词。如:six-sixth, ten-tenth
2.“第十几”的序数词在teen后面加-th；“第几十”的序数词将ty改为tie再加th。如:fifteen-fifteenth, twenty-twentieth
3.“第几十几”的序数词只将个位上的基数词变为序数词即可。
如:twenty-four(th), thirty-seven(th)
4.几个特殊变化的序数词:one-first (1st), two-second(2nd),three-third(3rd), five-fifth(5th), eight-eighth(8th),nine-ninth(9th), twelve-twelfth(12th).
5.序数词的缩略形式通常使用阿拉伯数字+单词末尾两个字母表示。
如:fifteenth(15th), sixtieth(60th)
三、数词的用法
基数词 表示数量的多少 three students,sixteen pears
表示时间 five o'clock,six thirty
表示年份 two thousand and fifteen(2015年)
表示年龄、身高、 体重、物品价格等 15 years old,156 cm tall,5 yuan a kilo
序数词 表示顺序 The first boy on the left is Mike.
表示日期 June the first/the first of June(6月1日)
【注意】表示编号时，既可以用基数词，也可以用序数词。名词加基数词的形式中,名词和基数词的首字母都要大写。如:the first lesson, Lesson One.
