一、Teaching aims:
Knowledge aims: Ss can read and understand the new words: nice, clever, naughty, a bit, shy, answer, call, bad and say these sentences: This is Ms Smart. She's a nice teacher. But she's a bit shy.
Ability aims: Ss can use the sentence pattern “This is ... She/ He is ...” to introduce their friends.
Emotional aims: Ss are willing to speak English.

Teaching Difficult Point: The pronunciation of “shy”.

Step1: Pre-listening
1. Say a tongue twister.
T: Say this tongue twister twice.
2. Look, guess and say. T: Look at our friend, the elephant. What's it doing Ss: It's drawing. T: Wow, it can draw. So what Daming will say What do you think of the elephant You can say in Chinese. Ss: It's clever.
Learn the new word: clever.
T: And look at this one, The elephant is spraying paint on Daming. What does Lingling say
Learn the new word: naughty.
3. Watch, listen and imitate.
4. Think and say.
Step2 While-listening
1. Look and say. T: Let's look at this picture, what can you see Ss: Panda, Ms Smart, bird ... T: A little boy and a girl. Who are they Let's watch the video, no subtitles, listen and answer.
2. Watch, listen and answer. Who are they
Play the video of A2, no subtitles. Learn to read the word: parrot
Ask Ss to think: What do you think of Ms Smart 可以说中文
3. Listen, point and find “She's/ He's ...”. T: Please open your book to page 2, listen, point and find“She's/ He's ...”. (Play the tape of A2.) Ss say these sentences and learn the new words: nice, a bit, shy, a bit shy, bad. T; Look at this picture (Point to the last picture), Parrot is not bad, but he's very ... Ss: Naughty. Learn the new word: naughty.
4. Watch, listen and imitate. Learn the new word: answer, call, answer the call.
5. Role play.
Step3 Post-listening
1. Look and say. Then listen and repeat. A3
2. Pair work: Look and say. A4
3. Look and say. Then describe your deskmate.

Step 4 Homework
1. Listen and imitate the new words, A1 and A2 three times. 听音并模仿跟读新单词和活动一、二部分内容。
2. Copy the new words and the key sentences(Page 4) twice. 抄写本单元新单词和第四页重点句两遍。
3. Introduce your good friends to your family by these sentence parttern: This is ... She/He is ...向家人介绍你的好朋友。要求:用本节课所学重点句和新单词。
4. Make an album about your friends and introduce them to the class next class. 制作一张朋友的相册,下节课介绍。
5. 完成同步练习册Module 1 Unit 1 部分。
