Knowledge aims: Ss can read and understand the new words: wasn’t=was not, weren’t=were not, clean, dirty and say these sentences: They are old. They weren’t old then. They were young. She wasn’t tall then. She was short. It wasn’t clean then. It was dirty. Ss can say the sentences of Activity2.
Ability aims: Ss can use the sentence pattern “It/She/ He/ wasn’t ... then. It/She/ He/ was ... You/They/We weren’t ... then. You/They/We were ... ” to talk about the appearance or personality of someone or something.
Emotional aims: Ss are willing to speak English.

Step1: Pre-listening
1. Listen, point and say.
T: Look at this butterfly. It’s very beautiful.
Listen and repeat the sentence: But it’s wasn’t beautiful then.
Learn the new word: wasn’t=was not.
2. Review: Talk about Lingling.
Step2 While-listening
1. Listen and say.
2. Look and say. 请同学模仿第一幅图的句式，描述第二张照片。
3. Look, listen, fill and say. Learn the new words: clean, dirty. 操练这两个词，My hands are dirty. Your hands are clean. Look at my shoe, it is clean/dirty.
4. Watch, listen and imitate.
Step3 Post-listening
1. Fill and retell.
2. Read and circle. A3
3. Think and say.
4. Listen and say. Then chant. A4
Step 4 Homework
1. Listen and imitate the new words, A1 and A2 three times. 听音并模仿跟读新单词和活动一、二部分内容。
2. Copy the new words and key sentences(P29A2) once. 抄写新单词和29页活动二重点句一遍。
3. Talk about the differences between the appearance of your grandparents and bag then and now, by the key sentences: My grandparents are ... They weren’t ... then. They were ... then. My bag is ... It weren’t ... then. It were ... then. 谈论爷爷奶奶以及自己的包以前和现在模样的不同，用上本节课重点句。
4. 完成同步练习册Module 5 Unit 2和单元综合训练部分。
