What about you Do you like them In fact , he has another name , the Monkey King . Sun Wukong has a stick , and it’s a magic stick . He can make it big and long . 讲授新课 Step 1 Pre-reading Guide Ss to look at the folk tale’s name Journey to the West on the PPT and the picture on their books to make a prediction before reading . What is he like Why are they fighting Present several new words like tail , magic , stick , object , hide on the PPT . Teach the new words to make Ss remember them . Step 2 While -reading Fast reading Ask Ss to skim the passage and get the main idea of the article . \The general idea of the article is about ____ Journey to the West the Monkey King’s ability why the Monkey King is so popular in the world . Step 3 Careful reading Read the first paragraph carefully and answer the questions . Which book is talked about Who is the main character When were the pupils in England able to watch the new program Read the second paragraph and complete the chart about the Monkey King . Get the students to scan the third paragraph and fill “F”or “T” The Monkey King has excited the children of China for many years .As soon as the movie came out more than 30 years ago , Western children become interested in reading this story .
