Analysis of the unit(单元教学内容分析)
1. 本单元的话题是“Future”。单元的内容主要涉及“对未来的职业规划以及梦想”。它包含六个语篇:L27讲述如何为他人在职业规划方面提出好的建议。L25、L26、L28、L29 、L30介绍了田田、Lucas、李明和Danny的未来梦想。本单元教学的主要任务是让学生认识自己,对自己未来职业规划有一定的认知。
2. 主要语法项目是情态动词、副词比较级和最高级。
3. 语言功能项目包括用情态动词谈论未来的梦想与职业规划
Analysis of Ss’ learning学情分析:
程度稍好的学生有一定的英语基础,并且在之前的学习中已经涉及到谈论未来与职业规划,但是没有深层次挖掘对未来职业规划设想的真正含义。他们能够简单的用英语表达梦想的职业,但在理解和整合信息以及表达句子完整性方面比较欠缺。
基础略微薄弱的学生曾接触过情态动词,但还无法正确运用情态动词进行表达。他们因为语言受限在谈论未来和梦想时,会遇到障碍。
The aim of the core literacy of English discipline (英语学科核心素养目标):
1. Linguistic competence
T will help Ss develop their competences of
A) reading by training their micro-skills, such as predicting, getting the main information by fast-reading, understanding the text by detailed-reading, integrating and applying the new knowledge, summarizing and so on.
B) Expressing hopes and wishes by mastering the usage of modal verbs.
2. Cultural awareness
Ss can compare and learn about the different dreams between western and Chinese students.
3. Thinking quality
A) Ss can find out, distinguish and summarize the new linguistic phenomena.
B) They can construct a new concept based on the information in the unit.
C) They can creatively voice their own ambitions and dreams about their future and the jobs that they want to do.
4. Learning ability
A).Ss will keep their interest in and participate in learning English actively.
B) They will use some English learning strategies, such as previewing, forming a good habit of studying, concentrating on their studies in class, cooperating with their group members and so on.
C) They will improve their learning ability by reading some more extending materials in or out of class.

A) Words and expressions: scientist, grow, engineer, page, pilot, fear, height, model, advice, spell, number; seventeen, eighteen, opposite, manager, business, fisherman, policewoman, artist, choice, strict, punish, wise...
B) Grammar: Modal verbs: might, would Comparative and superlative adj.
C) Language features: lead Ss talk about their dreams.
D) Understanding and mastery of the contents of this unit.
E) Ability: Expressing hopes and wishes &talking about ambitions.
F) Morality: Achieving individual value
