1. wish 意为“希望、视愿”,后接that引导的宾语从句(that省略）,表示与现在的事实相反或不可能实现的思望时,从句用虚拟语气,从句中谓语动词用过去式, be动词一律用were。
拓展:wish to do sth.“希望做某事； wish sb. to do sth.“希望某人做某事； wish sb. sth.“祝福某人……”

Translation
主句的谓语动词是think, say, find等时，常接 that 引导的宾语从句。That 无任何词义，只起连接作用，目的是使读者清楚后面的句子是作前面动词的宾语，that常可省略。
