【考点解析】regret的用法
(1)regret用作动词。
①regret doing sth.意为“后悔做了某事”，通
常指事情已经做了。
②regret to do sth.意为“对要做…感到遗
憾”，事情还未做。
③regret十that从句，意为“遗憾…；后悔…”
e.g.I regretted making the decision,我后悔
做了这个决定。
I regret to tell you that you have failed the
exam.我很遗憾地告诉你，你考试没及格。
I regret that you fail your math exam.我很遗
憾你数学考试不及格
(2)regret也可作名词。
e.g.I expressed regret for my words.我对自
己的言辞表示懊悔。
