连词知识点梳理
连词是一种虚词，只起连接词与词、短语与短语以及句子与句子的作用。
并列连词
并列连词用于连接单词、短语或句子等，表示并列，转折、选择、因果等意义。
and用于连接两个并列、对等关系的单词、词组或句子。
Nancy and Mike are friends.
南希和麦克是朋友。
or用于在两者之间选择一个。
Do you want tea or coffee
你想要喝茶还是喝咖啡？
but 的意思是”但是、可是”等，表示转折含义。
It was raining, but they didn’t stop their work.
天在下雨，但他们没停止干活。
for的意思是”因为”，表示原因，用于说明、解释，语气没有because那么正式。
She stayed at home,for it rained all day.
天在下雨，但他们没停止干活。
so的意思包含“因此，所以，于是”，表示因果关系。
It is raining outside, so you had better take an umbrella.
现在外面正在下雨， 所以你最好带把伞。
both...and...的意思是“两者都...”,如果被连接的两个部分作主语，谓语动词应用复数形式。
Both my father and my mother are workers.
我的父亲和我的母亲都是工人。
neither...nor...的意思表示”既不...也不...”，连接两个并列成分，表示否定意义。
She speaks neither English nor French.Instead,she speaks German.
她既不会说英语也不会说法语。她说德语。
either...or... 的意思表示“要么...要么...”,表选择，连接两个并列成分，表示两者中的任意一个，且表示肯定意义。
Either Mike or Tim may go with you because one of them must stay at home.
要么Mike和你去要么Tim和你去，因为他们两必须有一个待在家里。
从 属 连 词
从属连词用于连接主句和从句，起引导从句的作用。
When:意思是“当...时”，表示一段时间或时刻，引导时间状语从句。
He began to play the violion when he was six.
当他六岁的时候，他开始拉小提琴。
before:表示“在...之前”，引导时间状语从句。
Don’t forget to wash your hands before you have dinner.
吃饭前别忘了洗手。
after表示“在...之后”，引导时间状语从句。
She will go shopping after she finishes dinner.
吃完晚饭，她要去购物。
because表示“因为”，引导原因状语从句。
He failed in the exam because he didn’t study hard.
他考试不及格，因为他学习不用功。
if表示“如果，假如”，引导条件状语从句。
If I have the money ,I will help you.
如果我有钱，我会帮助你的。
