（一）知识目标
1.能够听、说、读、写以下单词east、north、best、rest、have a rest、 rode。
2.学习Xinjiang is in the west of China. She visited the Tianchi Lake. She rode a horse. She climbed the Tianshan Mountains.等重点语句。
（二）能力目标
1.能利用所学的方位词来描述某个城市的具体方位。
2.能利用学过的知识来谈论自己或他人的旅行情况。

1.培养学生团结合作，友好沟通的学习习惯。
2.让学生体验大自然的美妙，感悟大自然的神奇，培养学生热爱大自然，热爱生活，热爱祖国的美好情感。

教学过程
Step1. Warming up
1.Greetings.
师生互用英文打招呼。
2.Sing an English song .
(设计意图：活跃课堂气氛，调动学生学习英语的积极性，同时也为下文的新授知识做铺垫。)
Step2. Leading in
T：This song is about the directions. Last class we have learnt some words about direction. Now let’s have a review.
1.教师拿出单词卡，复习south、west方位词。同时利用单词卡，教师带领学生点读学习另外两个方位词north、east，先让学生齐读，再找个别学生读，教师注意为他们纠正发音。
2.利用课件，找一个同学完成方位词填空的练习。
（设计意图：利用课件，充分考察学生对四个方位词的掌握情况。）
3.T:We’ve learnt the words of direction. Now let’s chant with these words.
播放活动一的动画。
4.通过播放活动一的动画,让学生找到west-best-rest的发音规律。教师利用单词卡，点读教授best、rest、have a rest单词或词组。
5.请学生两人一组，边唱边拍手完成活动一。
Step3 Presentation
T:Let’s have a rest and enjoy some beautiful pictures.
通过观看新疆美景的图片，引出活动二的教学。
1.Watch the video and answer question.
Where is Xinjiang
找学生回答问题，教师并板书答案
It’s in the west of China.
2.Listen again and answer question.
What did Lingling do there
找学生点读答案，课件核对答案后教师板书
She rode a horse.
She climbed the Tianshan Mountains.
(设计意图：带着问题听听力，培养学生良好的英语听说习惯。)
3.Listen and imitate.
4.Work in groups .Ask and answer, then finish the mind map of Lingling’s trip.
(设计意图：培养学生互相合作的能力，同时考察学生对本课内容的掌握情况。)
Step4 Practice
1.课件呈现活动三的图片。请学生两人一组来问答。
A: Where did you go for the holidays
B: I went to Yinchuan.
A: Where is Yinchuan
B: It’s in the north of China.
找两组同学上台问答。
（设计意图：充分考察学生对方位词的掌握情况，让学生们可以灵活运用于真实生活中。）
2.Writing.
教师先做示范，然后让学生利用关键字词来完成自己的书写材料，材料提前发给学生。
（设计意图：通过书写的形式再次巩固、加深学生对方位词、对本课所学重点语句的认识，同时锻炼了学生的英语书写能力。）
Step5 Summary and emotional education
1.以思维导图的形式带领学生回顾本课所学的单词和句型。
2.播放一首优美的歌曲《国旗之下》视频。
