Hello. My name is Hao Tongxin. I live in a small village. I'm in Grade 7 and I love going to school!
My school is a “hope” school. Last year, I wanted to give up my studies. I wanted to stay home and help my family. But my teacher said，“With a good education, you can make a
difference.You can make a good life for yourself.
Then you can help your family, friends and other
people, too.” She gave me hope.

give up 放弃
give up意为“放弃”。后接名词或动词的 ing形式作宾语。give up doing sth.意为“放弃做某事”。如果代词作give up的宾语则要放在give与up之间，如give it up。
e.g. His mother didn't give up trying to help him.
他妈妈没有放弃尽力帮助他。

difference的形容词形式为different，常用短语：be different from“与……不同”，反义词组为be the same as“与……一样”。
