主题名称 Unit 4 Why don’t you talk to your parents
学科核心素养细化 Enable students to understand and master the usage of words and phrases.Enable students to know how to express problems and give advice.Improve students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Try to find out the usage of so that, until, and although through some questions.Everyone has his/her own problems. We should try to face these problems and try to work them out.
主题概述 本单元主题是讨论自己的困扰及给出相应的建议,教会学生加强人与人之间的交流,改进自己的处事方式,对自己困扰的问题勇于表达,并进而解决问题,不逃避问题,从而过渡到作为学生最感到困惑的问题——学习压力的产生,在Section B 的课文中给予了解决,贴近学生的生活,真实的解决学生出现的实际问题。
主题学情分析 八年级学生经过一年半的英语学习,已经接触了陈述问题,询问问题以及提建议的话题,并且学过各种提建议的句式,已有相关词汇句型的储备,具有一定的语言组织和表达能力,能够对特定的问题给出建议。本话题也贴近学生生活,主要探讨当代中小学所面临的种种压力和困境,并针对这些问题给出合理的建议,所生成及获取的知识又具有十分现实的应用价值,易于学生进行真实表达。

单元学习目标 通过本单元的学习,我们能学习一些新的单词短语,能根据对方所提出的问题给出一些合理的建议,并正确认识生活中的一些困境和压力,能采用正确的方式解决生活中的问题和缓解自己的压力。

第1课时 1、熟练掌握以下重点单词:allow, midnight, wrong, guess, big deal, work out2、灵活运用以下句型:What’s wrong Why don’t you... /Why not… You could.../You should... 3.Improve students’ listening and speaking skills. 听懂,记录并说出生活的困难,给出适当的建议。听懂针对烦恼给出多种建议及对建议进行回应根据总结的句型说出生活的困难,给出适当的建议对建议进行回应,培养积极面对生活中的一些困难,能采用正确的方式解决生活中的问题。
第2课时 1、熟练掌握以下重点单词:get on with; relation, communication, argue, etc.2.Improve students’ reading skills. 通过阅读获得并梳理主人公的遭遇和苦恼,以及Mr. Hunt给出的建议。通过分析文本信息,切身体会主人公的生活经历,感受他的心理状态,培养学生的共情能力。使用文本信息和词汇,完成思维导图并复述文章。分享交流自己是否支持Mr.Hunt的建议,发展学生批判性思维。
第3课时 掌握以下词汇:copy, return, anymore掌握以下重点词组用法:Although, so that, until学会并尝试针对问题给出建议。Improve students’ questioning and organizing skills. 通过探究性学习,小组归纳总结Although, until, so that的用法。归纳用should, could 提出建议的句型,并在设定情境中学会提出建议。
第4课时 1.熟练掌掌握重点单词:member、pressure、compete.2.掌握重点句型 Why don’t you... /Why not... You could.../You should... 3.Improve students’ listening skills. 通过听说活动,获取排解压力的办法,并通过讨论的方式集思广益,随后进行口语交流。在倾诉倾听烦恼,寻求给出建议的过程中,增长知识,并体会与他人相处的快乐。
第5课时 掌握以下词汇及用法opinion, skill, typical, push, compete, continue, compare etc.Improve students’ reading skills. 通过skimming的方式猜测文章大意,能根据首尾句提取课文信息判断段落大意。会运用本课所学的语言知识表达中外学生面临的生活压力及对应策略,辩证的去看待生活学习中的苦恼,并学会自己减压。
第6课时 掌握以下词汇词组:perhaps,in one’s opinionTry to express our opinions in English.Improve students’ writing skills. 梳理有关课后辅导班观点的信息。明确本单元关于烦恼建议的说明文的写作结构。学会客观地,辩证的看待事物,提高辩证思维能力。

七、反思性教学改进(实施后填写)
基于各课时反思性教学改进,汇总形成单元反思性教学改进设想。明确主要经验或者需改进的方面。
本单元的教学活动层层递进,并贴近生活,具有可实践性。以下是我在本单元教学后的教学反思.首先本单元以学生的发展为本。新课程的价值取向是以人的能力和个性发展为核心。在本单元的教学设计中我们精心准备贴近实际生活的任务活动,深入简出,让学生根据生动活泼的图片进行会话,学生很快就可以在真实的语境中熟练运用英语对话。在教学过程中我们坚持以学生的需要为出发点,坚持让学生学会用语言做事,在用中学,在学中用,学有所得,学有所用。在第二和第五课时都有相应的课后练习,积极巩固所学知识,在作业布置时采用分层作业布置方式,让学生每个人都能在作业中有所收获,优等生吃的饱,中间学生吃的好,学困生能吸收。其次,我们注重探究性学习和小组合作交流相结合的方式,小组学习的目的是在有限的时间内,让每一个学生都主动参与学习,让学生在自主学习中得到发展树立信心,养成良好的习惯形成有效的学习策略,在语法学习环节,我们采用小组合作探究性学习方法,让学生根据Grammar focus的句子回答问题,在观察中自己发现规律和知识,从而记得更牢,把教师的知识变成了自己的知识。在作文教授环节,我们首先给出一篇关于同意课后辅导班的作文,并让学生发现本篇文章的结构,对于观点表述的句式等,让学生在模仿中尝试写出作文,后面的评价环节我们设计了自我评价,小组评价以及班级展示,找出最优作文,学生参与积极,完成了作文由词到句再到语篇的过渡,连接自然,课堂效果十分好。 再次,我们在教学设计中夹杂的听说读写技巧的教学也是一个亮点,学生在上课时根据教师所提示的学习方法进行学习,事半功倍,比如说听力教学的听前,听中,听后,还要阅读环节中的skimming,scanning等对学生来说都是非常好的学习方法, 最后,我来谈谈本节课的不足之处。虽然我们设计了多个任务让学生来运用所学的句型,学生也能熟练掌握,但缺乏设置大情景和没有主线,导致环节与环节之间过渡得很生硬。还有,我们所采用的任务,对授课班而言,相对简单,挑战性不够,使得学生的参与有广度但没深度。此外,我认为我对课堂的调控能力还有待提高。
