Unit 5 Our town 教学设计
学情分析
本班有28名学生,他们家住房山边远农村地区,从一年级开始学习英语,经过三年多的英语学习,具备一定的理解、认读常用单词和句式的能力,能进行简单的口语表达。绝大多数学生对英语学习保持着较浓厚的兴趣,有4个学生有课外英语学习经历,具有较好的口语表达能力。他们在本单元初次接触e-mail,理解起来难度较大。因为本班为农村学生,普遍家庭经济条件不是太好。课前本人做了一个调查,家里有电脑并能上网的只占到35%。能收发e-mail的不到10%。为了让学生更好的了解相关知识,我在整体设计本单元教学时,第二课时布置了一个让学生以小组为单位发一封邮件的作业,并根据所发内容进行分层评价。学生们有了前一单元与本单元前两课时的学习经验,减轻了本课学习的难度。为本节课的学习做了有效的铺垫。本节课的阅读内容比较抽象,部分学生在课堂学习中有依赖教师的心理。他们需要教师运用正确的方法进行引导,才能感知体会阅读的技巧,为其形成良好的阅读习惯奠定基础。
2重点难点
教学重点:学习看简单的地图,并根据地图开展问路和指路的语言训练。
教学难点:阅读电子邮件,找出地图上的相应地点。
教学目标
教学目标:
1.学生能理解对话内容并能够尝试朗读本课对话;
2.学生能够看懂简单的地图,并根据地图提供的信息,运用问路和指路的功能句进行问答对话;
3.学生能在小组活动中与他人合作,共同完成学习任务;
4.学生能够在完成看地图、找地点、读E-mail发现信息的活动中发展观察、思考和分析判断能力。
学时重点
学习看简单的地图,并根据地图开展问路和指路的语言训练。
学时难点
阅读电子邮件,找出地图上的相应地点。
教学活动
【导入】warm-up

T: What places do you know in the story
Ss: I know the zoo, school, movie theater, swimming pool, train station, supermarket, park and toilet.
T: I have some pictures here. Do you know them
PPT show: restaurant, hospital, post office, bank, library, book store and fire station.

【设计意图】歌曲是孩子们最喜欢的活动之一,歌曲中通过动画描述了小猴子在盒子的不同位置,不仅帮助学生复习方位介词,还能活跃课堂气氛,同时激发学生的学习兴趣和积极性。
学习做好铺垫。

Maybe you can ask with “who、what、where”.
出示特殊疑问词,引导学生提问。

Ss: It’s a map.
T: Yes, it’s a map of our town. Look! It’s our school. My friend Tom wants to visit our school. He is at the bus stop now. Please take out your map and draw the way for him.
1. Work in the groups.
2. Draw the way for Tom.
T: Who can draw and tell him the way
Ss: I can. (One student comes to the front, draw and tell the way for Tom.)
3. Make a new dialogue in groups.

【设计意图】利用本镇地图,创设真实场景,学生为老师的朋友指路,引导学生把学过的知识运用到实际生活中。

T: This is an E-mail from Sue. She talks about her new town with her friend Bill. What places do you know in the e-mail For example, there is a park. Please read the e-mail and circle them. Open your books and turn to Page 55 and do it quickly.
