我们用before, after ,until 来表示时间，来谈论事情发展的先后顺序。这三个词可以作介词也可以作连词后面接时间状语从句。引导的句子置于句首时逗号隔开。Until用于肯定句时通常表示动作的终点，主句谓语动词通常用延续性动词，意为“直到….时候，直到….为止”。Until 用于否定句，一般表示动作的起点，主句谓语动词一般用短暂性动词，意为“ 直到…..才……”。

1 before 介词
Before…and… “在…与…之间” 该结构既可用于表示时间，也可用来表示地点方位。
eg (1) Put this box between the desk and the wall.

2 from…to… “从…到、至…”
3 before “在…之前”
after “在…之后”
（1）它们作介词时，后面都接表时间的名词或短语，构成时间状语。
（2） 它们作连词时，用来引导时间状语从句。
4 until “直到… 才/为止”可作介词和连词，用法同上。
*（1）用于肯定句时，谓语动词要用延续性动词。
（2）用于否定句时，谓语动词用瞬间动词，指谓语动词所表示的动作一直没有发生，直到until 所表示的时间才发生。
