Step 1 ImportPlay this song: Happy Birthday.Today is Meimei's birthday. She wants to invite you to her birthday party. Can you tell me what she should have said Let the students speak.Step 2 Before the taskWork on 1a and 1b.1. Q: Can you come to my party Ask some students to answer. Please tell me the reason if you can't go.2. Notice the words in activity 1a. Read them together.Say, look at this picture. Ask students to say what they saw in each scene.3. Match the words with the pictures and check the answers.Now listen to the tape. Write each person's name next to his or her picture.4. Play the recording. Have students do the activity alone.5. Correct the answer.Step 3: Task in progress1. Please point out the examples in the box. Have students practice with a partner.2. Ask some groups to perform.3. Introduction to the game:A student invited some classmates to his/her party. "Answered the other students.Work on 2 a.1. Point out these five sentences.Listen to each conversation and circle the words that make the sentence correct.2. Play the recording.3. Check your answers.4. Pay attention to the five sentences in activity 2a and ask students to say the correct word "can" or "can't" and read these sentences to the class.5. Now listen to the tape again.
