第四学时　Grammar定语从句(2)由关系副词引导的定语从句I will never forget the day.I met him on that day.
＝I will never forget the day when /on which ,I met him.
This is the house.We used to live in this house.
＝This is the house where /in which, we used to live.
This was the reason.He came for the reason.
＝This was the reason why /for which, he came.注意：1.在定语从句中，如果先行词表示时间、地点、原因，并在从句中作状语，则分别用关系副词when，where，why 或“介词＋关系代词”引导定语从句。
2．当先行词同样表示时间、地点、原因，但关系词在定语从句中作主语、宾语时，则用关系代词which或 that 引导定语从句(作宾语时，关系代词常可省略)。因此要仔细分析关系词在从句中的句法功能，选择正确的关系词。3．当先行词是 the way/ways时，引导词可以用 in which，可以用that，也可以不用关系词。例：
There are several ways in which you can solve this problem.
＝There are several ways that you can solve this problem.
＝There are several ways you can solve this problem.?典例剖析【例】　I work in a business ______almost everyone is waiting for a great chance.

D．that此题中的主句很容易被找到，即“I work in a business”，但要注意的是，business在这里是“公司”的意思；再从空格后定语从句着手分析句子结构，不难发现从句中缺少状语，即“almost everyone is waiting for a great chance ‘in the business’”，用介词加关系代词替换为“in which”，或用关系副词替换为“where”，表示地点。所以此题正确答案为 C。
启示：只要掌握了做定语从句考题的关键步骤和分析定语从句结构基本的方法，解决高考英语定语从句考题是比较容易的。
