教学目标
1.学生学会目标词汇与句型;(学习理解) 1)词汇:population, wide, million, than 2) 句型结构: ---Where is… ---What’s the population of… ---“… is … than …”, “… is as…as…”, “the population of… is… than the population of…” 2. 学生能够运用词汇与句型描述香港与深证两所城市的不同;(应用实践) 3. 学生能够从地点、尺寸、人口、以及标志性建筑等四方面谈论两个或多个地区的不同;(迁移创新) 4. 学生能够依据评价表从不同维度评价同学对话输出。(迁移创新)
教学内容
教学重点: 听懂对话内容并归纳 学习新的语言知识---比较级 从地点、尺寸、人口、以及标志性建筑等四方面谈论两个地区的不同。
教学难点: 理解比较级 使用“… is … than …”, “… is as…as…”, “the population of… is… than the population of…”等句型来描述两个地点的不同 理解对话中所蕴含的情感态度
教学过程
Step 1: Lead in (3 mins) A1: Show the video about Shenzhen T: After watching the video, how do you feel about the city Ss: big, busy, clean (在板书上呈现) Teaching notes: In this step, students’ interest to this class is aroused by the video and the game. Also, their previous knowledge about some adjectives such as “large”, “wide”, “clean” are stimulated. Step 2: Presentation (30 mins) A1: Yes/No game : You are tall. Your classroom is clean. Your school is big and large. Aojiang is a busy town. The street of Aojiang is wide. I’m beautiful. A2: Prediction Ss look at the picture and predict what may the conversation about Teaching notes: This step is to motivate students by showing pictures that are close to students’ daily life. Students may have different guessing, which lay a foundation for the later activities. Step 3: Practice A1: Listen and complete T:Which two cities do they talk about A. Shenzhen and Shanghai B. Shenzhen and Hongkong C. Hongkong and Shanghai T:What do you know about the cities Location of ShenzhenPopulation of ShenzhenIt’s on the________ near Hongkong.It’s over _________.
The population of Shenzhen is larger than the population of Hong Kong. T: We know the population of two cities are different, what other things are different Teaching notes: In this activity, students are able to get the main idea of the conversation and get some information about Shenzhen and Hongkong. A2: Look and compare A3: Pair work Ss practice the conversation with the sentence structure “… is … than …”, “… is as…as…”, “the population of… is… than the population of…”. Teaching notes: In these two activities, students are able to know some extra things about the two cities and pair work helps to enhance students’ familiarity with comparative degree. A4: Listen and complete Listen and complete the timeline A5: Pair work Teaching notes: These two activities help students know the change of Shenzhen with the development. Also, students imagination is activated and widened by practicing the structure “It was…, it is…; it will be…”. A6: Listen and imitate Listen and imitate the pronunciation and intonation, and enjoy the feelings. Teaching notes: In this activity, students will feel the feelings by enjoying the radio. By means of imitating the dialogue, students can pick the feeling “proud” step by step, which lay a solid foundation for the role play as well. Step 4: Production (12 mins) A1: Summarize Summarize the four parts: location; size; population; famous places Teaching notes: In this activity, students will analyze the structure of four parts “location”, “size”, “population” and “famous places”, and consolidate what they have learned. A2: Pair work Make up the conversation according to the checklist of the following contents. Teaching notes: The last activity is the most important part in this class. Students are able to talk about the difference about Kunyang, Aojiang and Shuitou by using comparative degree. What’s more, the use of checklist provides items of the contents, which clearly and vividly show what they have learned in class. 板书设计 作业设计 (for all) listen and imitate the dialogue. Write down a complete dialogue. (optional) Make a poster for your hometown. 教学反思 教学亮点: 互动真实,情景教学 学生的交流和对话,均处于真实有效的情境之中。输出环节的对于不同地区的对比使得产出的对话具有现实交流的意义。 支架合理,留有空间 在学生训练和产出的过程中,教师提供了合理的支架,帮助有困难的学生整理思路完成交流。但是,活动仍然为能力较强的学生留有自由发挥的空间,保护他们的学习积极性。 情感态度,渗透到位 模音环节依据课文内容让学生体会其中所蕴含的情感,既为国家感到自豪的家国情怀,让学生的情感得以升华。 教学不足: 在操练三个时态时,学生的回答仅仅停留于课本,没有真正打开思维,因此最好在前面做更多的铺垫服务于学生输出。 在板书思维导图时,概括完文章所包含的四个方面后,没有让学生打开思维去聊聊对话可涉及的其他的方面,限制了学生思维。在输出环节,教师应先做好示范,后让学生开展练习。
