I like music because I think there is nothing more relaxing than listening to or playing music. One day,I went to my parents’ house to visit them. While my mother was cooking some food in the kitchen,my father and I were waiting. Later I went into my father’s room with him and he took out his guitar and started playing a slow song. Then I took out a violin and started playing along with him. Slowly,I became lost into the music.
My father and I played like that for about 15 minutes. And when I turned around,my mother was standing there listening. I didn’t even realize she was there while I was playing. That was one of the few times that I was “truly” lost in music. The funniest thing when I played with my father was that I wasn’t good at the violin. I was new at the instrument(乐器),but it was a slow song and my ability didn’t matter. That is what music is all about.
Now many people are too focused on being good at their instrument,or making lots of money with it,but not focused on the music. Although my job is playing the piano,I never really want to use it to make money. I play because it brings me great happiness, and I love everything about it.
( )19.Listening to music is ________ for the writer.
A. relaxing B. boring C. interesting
( )20.When my father and I was playing the music,my mother was __________.
A. watching TV B. standing there and listening
C. cooking in the kitchen
( )21.The underlined words “focused on” mean “________”.
A. 疏忽 B. 吵闹 C. 关注
( )22.What is probably the writer’s job
A. A pianist. B. A sports player. C. A scientist.

A. My Dream Job B. My Favorite Song
C. Why I Like Music
