【复习要点】 一、宾语从句:复合句中,放在动词或介词后充当宾语的句子叫宾语从句。 (一) 考查宾语从句三要素。
1. 连接词
1) 由陈述句作宾语从句时,用 that 引导,that 无实在意义,可以省略。
e.g.The radio says (that) it will rain tomorrow.
2) 由一般疑问句充当宾语从句时,用 if 或 whether 引导,表示“是否”。 注:一般情况下,if 和 whether 可以互换,但以下几种情况只能用 whether: (1)在不定式前:Whether to go there or not hasn’t been decided.
(2)在介词后:It depends on(依靠) whether it is going to rain.
(3)与 or not 连用:They are talking about whether to go there or not. 3) 由特殊疑问句充当宾语从句时,只需用原来的特殊疑问词引导。
2. 语序
宾语从句用陈述句语序:连接词+主语+谓语
e.g. Would you please show me what we can do to make paper planes
3. 时态 在从句中,从句的动词时态,要与主句的动词时态相呼应。
1) 当主句为一般现在时,从句根据需要,使用相对应的时态。如:
I know(that)he will come back next week. We wonder when he started learning English.
2) 当主句为一般过去时时,从句要用相对应的过去时态。过去时态包括一般过
去时、过去进行时、过去将来时、过去完成时。
The teacher asked him what he was doing at seven.
注:Could you tell me… 是用来征询对方的意见,语气委婉,并不表示过去。
Could you tell me when we will visit the History Museum
3) 当从句表述的是客观真理或普遍规律时,宾语从句要使用一般现在时。
e.g.Lisa asked whether light travels faster than sound. (二) 考查 if, when 引导宾语从句和状语从句的区别。
1. 引导宾语从句,if 意为“是否”;when 意为“什么时候(即特殊疑问词)”,其 时态与主句相呼应。
e.g. 1) I don’t know if he (come) tomorrow.
2) Could you tell me when the sports meeting _ (hold)
2. if 引导条件状语从句,意为“如果”;when 引导时间状语从句时,意为“当… 时候”。他们遵循“主将从现”原则。即:如果主句为一般将来时,从句应 为一般现在时。
(三) 特别关注:有些特别的句式,在宾语从句中语序不变。

二、状语从句的分类及其用法
1. if 和 unless 引导条件状语从句以及 when, as soon as 等引导的时间状语从句, 要用“主将从现”结构。
e.g. 1) Unless you (take) a map with you, you (get) lost easily.
He (give) you a ring as soon as he (arrive) in Paris,
when; while; as 的辨析

because 和 so 不可同时出现在一个复合句中;although/though 和 but 不可同时 出现在一个复合句中。
三、定语从句
1. 定义:在复合句中,修饰名词、名词词组或代词的从句叫做定语从句。
e.g.1) The man who lives next to us is a policeman.
You must do everything that I do.
2. 先行词:被修饰的名词、名词词组或代词称之为先行词。
3. 关系词及作用:引导定语从句的关系词有关系代词和关系副词。关系词常有 三个作用:
1)引导定语从句; 2)代替先行词; 3)在定语从句中担当一个成分。
4.关系代词:如先行词为人,则引导定语从句的关系代词为 who 或 that(宾格 who, whom, 所有格 whose);如先行词为物,则关系代词为 which 或 that。 注意:在以下情况下,关系代词常用 that,而不用 which。
1)当先行词为 all, anything, everything, nothing, much, none 等不定代词时; 2)当先行词有 first, last, next, only, all 等修饰时; 3)当先行词有形容词最高级修饰时;
4)当先行词既有人又有物时。
