1. Half the class won’t come.（教材P74 2b）
（1）half在此处作形容词，意为“一半的”。
Half the time has gone. 时间已经过去了一半。
（2）half of 意为“一半的……”，后接名词或代词。half of… 作主语时，谓语动词与其后的名词或代词的数量保持一致。
Half of the apples are rotten. 这些苹果有一半已经腐烂了。

too…to…结构中too为副词，其后跟形容词或副词原级，to为不定式符号，后接动词原形。
