本课我们重点关注含有be(was/were)的一般过去时
一般过去时的含义
主语是第一人称/第三人称单数名词（代词）时，be 动词为was；
当主语是第二人称单数或复数名词（代词）时，be 动词为were。即：
原形 am is are
过去式 was was were
(1) I was born in Quincy.
(2) My first teacher was Mrs Lane.
(3) Becky and Adam were Tony's friends.
(4) Were you difficult in class
含be动词的一般过去时
(1) He was in a bank just now.
刚才他在银行。
(2) They were at home last night．
昨晚他们在家。
主语+was/were+其他.
1. 肯定句式
含有be动词的一般过去时的各种句式：
(1) Han Mei and Wei Hua were not in the classroom just now.
韩梅和魏华刚才不在教室里。
(2) Tony wasn't a teacher two years ago.
两年前Tony还不是一位老师。
主语 + was/were + not + 其他.
(was not, were not 可缩写为wasn't, weren't)
2. 否定句型
- Were you on the farm yesterday
- Yes, I was. /No, I wasn't.
— 昨天你在农场吗？
— 是的，我在。/不，我不在。
把was, were提到句首，句末用问号即可变为一般疑问句。
(1) 一般疑问句：
Was/Were+主语+其他？
肯定回答：Yes, 主语(代词)+was/were.
否定回答：No, 主语(代词)+wasn't/ weren't.
3. 疑问句句型
(1) Who was your first English teacher
谁是你的第一个英语老师？
(2) What was in your mind just now
你刚才想什么呢？
(3) Where were you when I was in trouble
当我陷入困境的时候你在哪儿？
(2) 特殊疑问句：
疑问词+was/were(+主语)+其他
