·__34__
You would think learning takes more time from you, but actually there are always new ways of doing things that can save you time on daily tasks, freeing you up for the most important. Always be looking for a new way to gain back an hour here or there.
A.Speed up.
B.Be an active learner.
C.Stop trying to balance time between them all.
答案 __B__
__36__, if you're out of your comfort zone or if you're wandering into somebody's house for the first time.So the main thing is just to show up and be adventurous, trying different foods and talking to strangers.
A.How do you know the host
B.The first step is to go exploring
C.If you ask the question “How did you get here?”
D.Be prepared to have awkward conversations with strangers
E.Or turn the conversation into a topic where they have little to say
答案 __B__
Parisians are different from you and me.They never look lazy or untidy. As someone noted in this paper a couple of weeks ago, they eat great food and never gain weight.38.The_food_is_so_delicious_that_you_don't_need_much_of_it_to_make_you_happy. French strawberries do not taste like cardboard.Instead, they explode in your mouth like little flavor bombs.
__39__ On our first morning in Paris, I went around the corner to the food market to pick up some groceries.I bought a handful of perfectly ripe small strawberries and a little sweet melon. My husband and I agreed they were the best fruit we had ever eaten. But they cost $18!
D.The amazing food is mainly consumed by local farmers.
E.That's not the only reason the French eat less than we do.
F.Our aim was to see if we could live, in some way, like real Parisians.
答案 __E__
The place wasn't entirely authentic, though.Unlike a normal Parisian apartment, the plumbing (水管) worked.__37__ Our building even had a tiny lift with a female voice that said,“Ouverture des portes,” in perfect French. That is the only French phrase I mastered, and it's a shame I don't have much use for it.
A.Not all the customers are tourists.
B.The quality of life in France is equally excellent.
C.There was a nice kitchen and a comfortable bed.
D.The amazing food is mainly consumed by local farmers.
答案 __C__
In France, quality of life is much more important than efficiency (效率).You can tell this by café life.French cafés are always crowded.__40__ When do these people work The French take their 35-hour workweek seriously — so seriously that some labor unions recently struck a deal with a group of companies limiting the number of hours that independent contractors can be on call.
A.Not all the customers are tourists.
B.The quality of life in France is equally excellent.
C.There was a nice kitchen and a comfortable bed.
答案 __A__

G.The food is so delicious that you don't need much of it to make you happy.
As someone noted in this paper a couple of weeks ago, they eat great food and never gain weight.
答案 __G__
表示转折关系的连接词汇有but、 however/whereas、 nevertheless (然而,不过)、 though、 yet、 in spite of、 at any rate (无论如何)、 in any case (无论如何,不管怎样)、 on the contrary、 by contrast (相反,相比之下)、 by comparison (相比之下)、 otherwise、 not ... but、 as well等。

表示因果关系的连接词汇有as a result/consequently、 thus/therefore、 so、 so (such) ...that ...等。

F.Our aim was to see if we could live, in some way, like real Parisians.
G.The food is so delicious that you don't need much of it to make you happy.
答案 __F__
表示递进关系的连接词汇有also、 further、 furthermore、 similarly、 moreover、 in addition、 what's more、 too、 either、 neither、 not only ...but also ...、 the more ...the more ...等。

Language is certainly a barrier for many people. For postcrossing to work worldwide, a common communication language is needed so that everyone can understand each other. As cool as it may be to receive a postcard written in Chinese, the concept doesn't work if one doesn't understand it.__34__ So a common language is required and in postcrossing that's English since it's widely spoken.
E.On August 5, the number of postcards exchanged by members topped 31 million.
F.Similarly, if you speak only Chinese, receiving a card in Swedish takes part of the fun away.
G.In short, he loves postcards, and the excitement of getting a hand-written note from someone far away.
答案 __F__

答案 __D__
I have the same 24 hours in a day as you do, but I have made specific choices that allow me to make the most of every day, and still feel happy and relaxed.__31__
·Pick the most important.

G.This is why making lists is important in any productivity handbook.
答案 __F__

F.Never stick them upright in your food or cross them as you use them
G.It may seem like a simple request to ask for salt and pepper at a meal
答案 __F__
如果缺的是结论性、概括性的语句,学生应快速浏览选项,注意选项中是否出现表示结果、结论、总结等的信号词,如so、 therefore、 hence、 thus、 as a result、 in short、 in a word、 all in all、 to sum up、 to conclude等词或短语,快速缩小选择范围,再根据段落主题一致性原则,从而确定正确选项。

Test 2
(2022·金丽衢十二校联考)We may befriend more people on social media, but we have fewer real friends — the kind who would help us out in tough times, listen sympathetically no matter what, lend us money, or keep a secret if we share one.
__1__ He is a Cornell University sociologist who surveyed more than 2,000 adults and found that from 1985 to 2010, the number of truly close friends has dropped even though we're socializing as much as ever.On average, participants listed 2 close friends in his survey.__2__ “These are the people you think of as your real friends, your go-to people if you need something,” Brashears said.
Brashears asked people online from a database called Time-sharing Experiments for the Social Sciences to list the names of people with whom they had discussed “important matters” over the previous six months.48 percent of participants listed one close friend when asked, 28 percent listed two and 19 percent listed more.__3__ He reported the results in the journal Social Networks.
__4__ Brashears said his survey can't tell us conclusively (确凿地), but his guess is that while we meet just as many people as we used to, we sort them differently.
Does that suggest we're more isolated in these times when we seem to meet more people online than in person Social scientists say social media may actually be healthy for us.Keith Hampton from the University of Pennsylvania wrote a report.“Internet, or social media users have more close relationships than other people. They get more overall social support than other people.__5__” wrote Hampton in his blog post.
But online contact and personal contact are different. While Hampton reports we know more people because of social media, Brashears reports there are fewer whom we choose to trust with our most intimate worries.
A.What's the reason behind them
B.What's the meaning of the survey
C.That's the conclusion made by Matthew Brashears.
D.The report reflected issues behind the phenomenon.
E.At the same time, a little more than 4 percent didn't list anyone.
F.Compared with 3 in a previous study, the number was down by one point.
G.And in particular they report more emotional support and companionship.
2.F 根据上文中的from 1985 to 2010, the number of truly close friends has dropped可知,从1985年至2010年,人们真正亲密的朋友的数量在减少。
He reported the results in the journal Social Networks.,由此可见,该句之前应是全部的研究结果。
They get more overall social support than other people.
Hands or Utensils (餐具)
In India and the Middle East, it's considered very rude to eat with your left hand. People in France expect you to eat with a utensil in each hand. __38__, instead preferring to use their hands. C.Mexicans consider it inappropriate to eat with utensils
(People in France expect you to eat with a utensil in each hand.),空后说“更喜欢用手(instead preferring to use their hands)”,也就是不用“餐具”。

E.How can you write a good “seeking a training partner” notice?
F.Just accept your differences and learn to work with each other.
G.Any notice for a training partner should include such information.

答案 __F__

D.The chances of your line being the fastest are only one in three. So it's not just in your mind: Another line probably is moving faster.
答案 __D__

C.If two people are competing
D.Just keep music playing throughout
E.Donate whatever clothes are left over 设空处应与下文的more than that形成对比,应用less than that, less与more互为反义词。
答案 __A__
Test 1
You might be familiar with the experience of looking through your Facebook feed, only to feel like everyone else's lives are better than yours.
__1__ That's one finding from a new study that proved some social media behaviors linked with the mental health condition.
In the study, the researchers analyzed information from around 500 undergraduate students who actively used social media and completed an online survey to examine certain social media behaviors.
The researchers found that people's reasons for using social media were not linked with depression. __2__ For example, the study found that people with depression were more likely to compare themselves to others they considered “better off than me”.
__3__ This may be related to the tendency of people with depression to isolate themselves, said Anthony Robinson, a psychology student at Texas State University.
In any case, it's not good to compare yourself to others who seem “better off” than you, Robinson added. “People tend to make themselves look better off than they really are on social media,” he said. “__4__ It's important to recognize that.”
The researchers also stressed that their findings don't mean that social media use is necessarily a bad thing.
“I don't think it's always bad,” Howard said. “It can be bad, but it can also provide social support. __5__” Eventually, Howard hopes that people should use technology better, rather than taking it away.

However, it doesn't change anything.
