1. percent 名词，意为“百分之……”。和数词连用构成百分数。
percent 没有复数形式；和名词连用时，后边加of。
Fifty percent of the students like watching TV.
百分之五十的学生喜欢看电视。
另外：“数词+percent of+名词”结构作主语时，谓语动词单复数要根据of 后的名词确定。
如：Eighty percent of the water is polluted. 80%的水被污染了。

2. not…at all 意为“一点儿也不，根本不”。
I don’t like the movie at all. 我一点也不喜欢这个电影。
另外：Not at all. 表示“不客气”。 相当于“You are welcome.”

引导让步状语从句。相当于“though”。

4. through 介词，意为“以，凭借，穿过”。
He got good grade on the exam through his hard work.

辨析：through 指在某一空间内穿过，强调内部。
across 指在某一物体表面穿过，强调从一边到另一边。
He passed through the forest. 他穿过了森林。
I can swim across the river. 我能游到河对岸。

5. mind 名词，意为“头脑，心智”。
Although she is 90 years old, her mind is quite clear.
尽管她已经90岁了，她的头脑还是很清晰。
另外：mind 作动词，意为“介意，对某事烦恼”。
后跟名词、代词、v-ing做宾语。
I don’t mind the coldness. 我不介意寒冷。

6. such as 意为“例如，像……这样”。用于举例子。
I like eating fruit, such as oranges and apples.
我喜欢水果，比如橘子和苹果。
7. spend time with 意为“和……一起度过/消磨时间”。

形容人们的习惯、观点或固有观念很难改变。
die 动词，意为“消失，死亡”。
非延续性动词，不能和时间段连用。

9. It’s+形容词+for sb.+to do sth. 意为“做某事对某人来说……”。
