Step1 Warm-up Play a song: “Hello!” The students listen and try to sing.
Step2 Presentation Greet the Ss and introduce: “ Hello! I am Ms Chen ” Greet the Ss one by one. Greet the Ss in different ways: loud and low. 4.Encourage Ss to say “hello /hi/ goodbye/bye bye” to the neighbors and friends. Ss know the T and how to introduce themselves. Ss practice greeting. 3.Ss greet T in the same way. 4.Ss can go out of the seats and move around the class- room to greet each others.
Step3 Learning text &Practice Play the video of the text twice. 2.Role play: Act out the text. 1.First, Ss watch the video carefully. Second, Ss watch and read after it. 2.Ss act out the text in group.
Step4 Consolidation Play games: Passing words. T tells a S the words, Ss pass the words in group. Greeting and say goodbye. Ss play the games and review what they learn in class.
Step5 Summary 1.How to greet others 2.How to introduce oneself Give a brief introduction of yourself Ss sums together.
