Vegetable Soup
一、整体设计思路
本课通过学生玩一个简单的Guessing game,猜测老师喜欢的食物进行复习旧单词,再由大家喜欢吃引出星期天去野餐的计划,以学习制作带去野餐的食物:vegetable soup, fruit salad, sandwich为主线贯穿整课。先以简单的chant来引出本课所要用到的食物单词,进行详细学习主要文本vegetable soup,从泛读(画线)、细读(看视频,解释生词)、到再读(朗读)。最后由学生小组学习拓展文本(自创新菜谱)fruit salad, sandwich,环环相扣,使学生能够系统有逻辑的学习知识。
二、教学目标
语言知识目标
1、学生能在语境中学习、理解、运用词汇 potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, sugar, salt, wash, peel, cut, put, cook.
2、学生能在语境中学习、理解、运用句型Put in..., Cut..., Cook for...
3、学生能通过小组合作填写自己的菜谱。
情感态度目标:
1、学生乐于模仿,敢于开口,积极参与,团结合作。
2、学生能敢于在生活中尝试自己制作简单菜肴。

四、教学过程
Step1 Greeting and warming up
1.Greeting
Say “hello” to each other and free talk.
T: What’s your name What do you like doing
T:I like eating. Can you guess “what do I like eating”
2.Warming up
Play a “Guessing Game” to review the words about food.
T:Wow, you have really sharp eyes. I like eating. Do you like eating
(设计意图:学生通过猜测教师喜欢的食物,从而达到复习旧知识,并为下面的学习做好铺垫,激发新知识学习的兴趣,活跃气氛。)
Step2 Presentation
1、lead in
T: All of us like eating. And we know the weekend is coming. I have a good news for you. We are going to have a picnic on Sunday. Let’s learn to make some food for the picnic. Look ,I brought you some food here. Let’s see what do you have. Well, let’s chant like this.
学生用chant的形式询问教师有什么食物,引出新单词potato, tomato, carrot.
Chant : Have, have, what do we have We have some apples/ bananas/ bread/ meat / potatoes/ tomatoes/ carrots.
(设计意图:用chant的形式增加问答的趣味性,复习一些与本课相关的单词为阅读作准备,也为最后一个环节做好铺垫。)
2、New words
利用chant带出potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, 教授这三个新的食物单词,并进行单复数形式的对比。
T:We have so much food. What can we make We can use the potatoes, tomatoes and carrots to make Vegetable soup.
(设计意图:先教授关键新词,为学生后面的课文阅读降低难度。)
3、Rapid reading(快速阅读)
Students read the text quickly in a minute, and find out “what do we need ” to make vegetable soup. Then ask some students to talk about it.
(设计意图:学生通过快速阅读并找出制作vegetable soup所需的材料,让学生对蔬菜汤有一个大概的认识。)
4、Detailed reading(详细阅读)
(1)Watch a video.
(2)Order the pictures on P61.
(3)逐句阅读并学习相关动词wash, peel, cut, put, cook. 配合课件、图片、板书等进行文本解读。
(设计意图:教师亲自示范整个制作过程,学生通过视听能更容易理解各个制作步骤,给图片排序帮助学生加深记忆。)
5、Read again(再次阅读)
a.学生齐读课文
b.读动词做动作,巩固动词。
Step3 Practice
1、More reading
T: What else can we make (指着桌上的水果、面包等问并引出we can make fruit salad, sandwich.)
学生阅读教师示范的fruit salad 菜谱,理解fruit salad的制作流程及所需材料。
2、Group work
6人一小组讨论自己的fruit salad 或sandwich菜谱,填入单词并展示出来。
(设计意图:利用学生所熟悉的食材,联系自己的喜好,帖近学生的生活,激发学习兴趣和动手能力,巩固本课的知识。)
3、Learn more
T: boys and girls, we can make the vegetable soup, sandwich and fruit salad for the picnic. We can make some other food too. Such as sushi, corn, chicken wings, juice...
Step4 Summary and homework
1.T:And if you want to eat delicious food ,do remember Ample food and clothing by working with our own hands. And we should Cherish food, too.
2. Homework: We know we can bring lots of food to the picnic, so please make some other food with your friends or your family after class.
