Christopher Paolini，born in 1983 in Southern California，is the author of the Inheritance Cycle book series，which consists of the books Eragon，Eldest，Brisingr, and Inheritance.

It is important to diagnose (诊断) cancer as early as possible.Some kinds of cancer, however, are especially hard to spot, including cancer of the head and neck.This is why a study published in The Journal of Cancer Research seems to hold good news for cancer diagnosis.The study shows that a tool called Nano Artificial Nose (or shortened to Na-Nose) is able to detect the breath of patients with the head and neck cancer.In other words，Na-Nose can “smell” the head and neck cancer.
Israeli researchers at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology collected breath samples from volunteers: 22 with various head and neck cancers, 24 with lung cancer，and 36 healthy and cancer-free.The technology of Na-Nose is based on its ability to detect different chemical compounds (混合物) in the breath.The tool is so sensitive that it can tell the difference between people with and without cancer，as well as detecting which patients have the head and neck cancer.
The significance of this study is the possibility of detecting these hard-to-diagnose cancers at an earlier stage, leading to quicker treatment.Lead researcher Professor Hossam Haick said, “There's a desperate need to develop new ways to detect the head and neck cancer because diagnosis of the disease is complicated, requiring specialist examinations.We've shown that a simple breath test can spot the patterns of molecules (分子)which are found in head and neck cancer patients in a small，early study.”

Let's be honest：If you like to take lots of vacation，the United States is not the place to work.Besides a handful of national holidays，the typical American worker gets two or three precious weeks off out of a whole year to relax and see the world—much less than what people in many other countries receive.Only 57% of the US workers use up all of the days they're entitled (授权) to，compared with 89% of workers in France, a recent research found.

But employers in the United States have no duty under federal law to offer any paid vacation, so about a quarter of all American workers don't have access to it，government figures show.That makes the US the only advanced nation in the world that doesn't guarantee its workers annual leave，according to a report titled “No-Vacation Nation” by the Center for Economic and Policy Research, a liberal policy group.

Guided tours

For those visiting with children, a special family tour and various activities are offered during school holidays and at weekends.Please note that, for safety reasons, pushchairs are not permitted in the State Apartments.However, baby carriers are available to borrow.
St George's Chapel
Visitors arriving at the Castle after 15：00 from March to October are advised to visit St George's Chapel first before it closes.
Shopping
Shops offer a wide range of souvenirs designed for the Royal Collection, including books, postcards, china，jewellery, and children's toys.Please ask at the Middle Ward shop about our home delivery service.
Refreshments
Bottled water can be purchased from the Courtyard and Middle Ward shops.From April to September ice cream is also available.Visitors wishing to leave the Castle for refreshments in the town may obtain re-entry permits from the castle shops.Eating and drinking are not permitted in the State Apartments or St George's Chapel.
Photography and mobile phones
Non-commercial photography and filming are welcomed in the Castle.Photography, video recording and filming are not permitted inside the State Apartments or St George's Chapel.Mobile phones must be switched off inside the State Apartments and St George's Chapel in consideration of other visitors.
Security

The Tower of London
was first built by William the conqueror for the purpose of protecting and controlling the city.Today it is one of the most popular tourist sights and attracts over three million visitors a year.
