一、Why don’t you talk to your parents
Why don’t you do sth. = Why not do sth. 为什么不做某事呢？（用来提建议）
二、allow sb. to do sth 允许某人做某事 ; allow sth 允许某事 ; allow doing sth 允许做某事 be（not） allowed to do sth（不）被允许做某事

三、until
1.用于肯定句时，主句的谓语动词用延续性动词，表示动作一直持续到until表示的时间
为止，译为“直到……为止”。
eg：We will wait until the rain stops. 我们将一直等到雨停。
2.用于否定句时，主句的谓语动词用非延续性动词，表示动作直到until表示的时间才发
生，译为“直到……才……”
eg：They did not return home until it began to rain.
直到开始下雨他们才回家。
四、be good at =do well in 擅长；在某方面做得好
be good for 对---有益
be good to 对---友好
be good with 与---相处得好
五、find sb. doing sth. 发现某人正在做某事
find sb. do sth. 发现某人做某事（做某事的全过程）

四、so和that
1.…so that… “以便于，目的是”，引导目的状语从句。
eg：He works hard so that he can pass the exame.
2.so…that… “如此…以至于…”，引导结果状语从句。（so后+形容词/副词）
eg：She is so kind that everyone likes her.
3.拓展such…that…“如此…以至于…”，引导结果状语从句。（such后+名词）
eg：She is such a kind teacher that everyone likes her.
五、although ( though ) + 从句“虽然 … ”although ( though )和but只能用一个，也就是说不与but联用.
例如： Although he is very young, he knows a lot.=
He is very young, but he knows a lot.
七、work out
1.锻炼身体；做运动；计算；算出
e.g. It takes me three hours to work out this math problem.
2.找到......答案；解决；进展顺利；成功发展
e.g. My first job worked out.
八、instead adv. 常放在句首或句末,“相反， 反而” ;

注意：当名词前面有many和much修饰时，用so而不用such， 如：so many books
so …that 的否定形式可与 too…to; not…enough to替换。

It’s time for /to do sth.到（做）某事的时间了。
Continue（继续）
Continue doing sth=go on doing（侧重于同一件事）
Continue to do=go on to do（不是一件）
同样用法还有stop、
Begin doing （习惯性）begin to do（偶尔性）
Try doing（习惯性） try to do（设法=manage to do）
Like doing（习惯性）like to do（偶发性）
