4. In English, we say that sharing a problem is like cutting it in half.
Language points
(1) cut…in half，“把……切成两半；把……一切为二”；
(2) cut“(用剪刀)剪；(用刀)切”；
(3) in half / halves，是一种固定的结构，此处的介词in 表示状态。如：
Please cut the orange in half. 请把橙子切成两半。
Now, all the oranges are in halves. 现在所有的橙子都是半个、半个的。
By the end of this year, that number will be cut in half. 到今年年底，这个数字将减少一半。

Language points
(1) be halfway to …“完成了事情的一部分”（to是介词）；
(2) by 在此表示方式，“通过（……办法，方式）”。如：
