一,动词过去式的构成分为规则和不规则两类.
( 1)规则动词过去式的构成
1,一般情况:直接-ed look—looked ,play--played
2,以e结尾的动词:加-d live—lived ,use--used
3,以重读闭音节结尾的动词,末尾只有一个辅音字母:双写这个辅音字母,再加-ed stop—stopped, plan—planned shop—shopped
4,以辅音字母加y结尾的动词: 变y为i,再加-ed study--studied
