1. famous 形容词,意为“著名的,出名的”。
常用搭配:be famous for 因……而出名
be famous as 作为……而出名
He is a famous writer. 他是一个著名的作家。
Fujian is famous for tea. 福建以茶闻名。
Lu Xun was famous as a great writer.
鲁迅是作为一名伟大的作家而出名。

2. come out 意为“上映”,另外还有“出版,发行”的意思。
Her new book will come out in June.
她的新书将在六月份发行。
另外,come out 还有“开花,盛开”、“出来,出现”、“被获知,为人所知”等含义。
Many flowers come out in spring.

3. become 意为“开始变得,变成”。作连系动词。

4. in the 1930s 意为“在20世纪30年代”。
表示“在……世纪……年代”用“in the +年份+s(’s)”结构。
He was born in the 1980s/1980’s.
他出生在20世纪80年代。

常用搭配:reason for (doing) sth. 做某事的原因
the reason why... ……的原因

6. lose 动词,意为“失去,丢失”。过去式为lost。
I lost my new camera. 我丢了我的新相机。

be ready for 意为“准备好……”
He is ready for the exam. 他为考试做好了准备。
8. try one’s best (to do sth.) 意为“尽某人最大的努力(做某事)”。
We must try our best to study English well.
我们必须尽最大努力学好英语。
