Our solar system is a small part of a much larger group of stars and planets, called the Galaxy or the Milky Way.
Humans can’t distinguish (区分) billions of stars because they are too far away. Our sun is only one of them.The Galaxy is made up of a large group of stars.The Galaxy is just like a white ribbon(丝带) in our eyes. So it’s called the Milky Way.
Altair is a star on the east of the Milky Way and Vega is a star on the west of the Milky Way. There is a Chinese traditional story about it Do you know it

What has been done to explore (探索) the universe
Scientists have sent spaceships to the planet Mars to take photos.
Scientists have even sent spaceships to travel outside the solar system.
Mars is the farthest planet we have reached.

美国“水手9号”火星探测器,Mariner 9，1971年5月发射，1971年11月抵达，是火星的第一颗人造卫星，共拍摄7329张照片，并拍摄到了火星全貌。
欧空局“火星快车”号探测器,Mars Express, 2003年6月发射，2003年12月抵达。
印度“曼加里安号”火星探测器, Mangalyaan，重1.35吨，大小有如一个标准冰箱,2013年11月发射，2014年9月抵达，使印度成为第四个进入火星探测的国家或组织。
阿联酋“希望号”火星探测器, Hope Mars Probe，2020年7月发射，2021年2月抵达.
中国“天问一号”火星探测器, Tianwen 1，2020年7月在文昌航天发射场由长征五号遥四运载火箭发射升空发射，迈出了中国自主开展行星探测的第一步, 2021年5月15日7时18分，天问一号着陆巡视器成功着陆于火星乌托邦平原。
