一．When is your birthday？
1.when “(疑问副词) 什么时候，”对时间进行提问。

what time…一般用于对具体时间的提问

二 [辨一辨] 表示时间的介词at, in与on
(1) 介词at意为 “在…”常用于时刻前或一些固定的习惯用语中。
在9点钟 在中午 今天下午三点
(2) in用在月份、季节、年份等前面，也 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )可以表示“在早上、在下午、在晚上”。如： May 2013 the morning/afternoon/evening
(3) on用在日期、星期几、节日前，具体某一天的上午、下午或晚上。

八、名词的所有格，在汉语中，我们常用“的”表示某物归谁所有。英语中的这种所属关系就是名词所有格，相当于汉语中的“的”。
1．“'s” 所有格　有生命物体的 ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )名词以及表示时间、距离、国家、城市等的名词常用“ 's” 所有格。如：老师的书 ；丽萍的尺子 。
有以下几种加's的情况：
a．单数名词后直接加“'s”。
This is book.这是我儿子的书
b．复数名词词尾为s时，其后只加“' ”。
These are schoolbags.这些是学生的书
c．表示共有时，只在最后一个名词上加“'s”。
This is mother.这是露西和莉莉的妈妈。
d．表示各有时，在各个词后加“'s”。
These are mothers.这些是汤姆和凯特的书。
2．of 所有格　一般而言，无生命的名词与of构成短语，表示所属关系。
This is China.这是一幅中国地图。
3．双重所有格　of所有格和 “'s”所有格用在一起，就是双重属格。

还有“昂贵的”之意，= 与 (便宜的)互为反义。
