A study has found that children could improve their problem-solving skills by joining in with chores around the home.
A team at La Trobe University in Australia did the study. They questioned more than 200 parents who had children aged 5 to 13. They asked the parents about the number of chores their children did each day and their

executive function. Executive function means someone's ability to plan, stay on a task, do different tasks at the same time and remember instructions. The results showed that children who often joined in with chores had better executive function.
