the Analysis of Teaching Material 本单元的核心话题就是“talk about what yourself used ro be like”。围绕谈论过去自己和他人常做的事,谈论过去自己和他人的外貌、性格以及爱好。以观察图片,阅读理解等训练方式和独立学习合作交流,完成任务等形式完成目标语言的输入。学习句型 used to 为主要学习内容。并且设置任务型综合性语言实践活动让学生在交际活动中学会如何用英语正确的表达自己的意见和建议,重在培养学生的习得语言运用能力,实践能力及合作能力。
the Analysis of the Students 一方面,八年级的学生经过七年级的学习,在词汇和句型结构等方面有了一定程度的积累,这些有利条件为课堂的高效提供了有力保障,但在综合运用语言的能力还需要进一步提高。另外一方面,与七年级同学相比,八年级同学上课的活跃程度有所下降,课堂活跃氛围也会随之下降,因此,老师需要针对这一情况设计由于有意义的课堂活动,将学生们的学习积极性调动起来,全员参与,这样才能保障课堂活动的高效。
Teaching Aims 1. Knowledge aims:1) vocabularies::background, deal with, private time,hang out with,used to do/be.2) target language:① She used to be shy, but now she isn’t shy anymore.② She used to hang out with friends, but it is almost impossible now.2. Ability aim: Master how to talk about what our friends and ourselves used to do or used to be.3. Moral aim: Let the students know people surely change and that time may change our appearance, but efforts can change our future. Encourage the students to try and to change their future.

a: Make a brief self-introduction b: Arouse the students’ learning interest by playing a guessing game. Guess the person showed on the screen and try to describe what he looked like in the past by using “used to be” or “used to do”. Arouse the students ’ learning interest and review what the students learned in the first period. 4
a:Check homework. Present the Chinese versions of some important phrases in the passage and ask the students to find them out.b: Memory challenge. Reflection 本课为阅读课,主要介绍一名流行歌手的励志故事。通过对比Candy 之前的状况和改变之后的状态,让学生在本课提神自己的阅读水平并进一步熟练目标语言,最终自发的收到鼓舞,用自己的实际行动向Candy 学习。本课以任务型教学为主,设计了包括pair work 和group work在内的一系列教学活动,由易到难,符合学生认知。学生们学习兴趣浓厚,师生互动良好。但是不可否认的是还有个别学生不能够积极地参与到课堂中来,另外,学生普遍存在口语表达错误。在今后的课堂中还需要多加练习以避免出现类似错误。
