For boys/ girls, ... How much ... Only ...! Come to ... now! 3. Students will be able to write ads for their own stores and make them posters. 4. Students will be able to promote their own stores with enthusiasm.
Reading strategies Read the picture and title to predict. Read quickly to paragraph and get the style. Read carefully to get detail information. Read for futher understanding. Read for the language.
Cultural awareness Students are expected to get to know “charity stores” and the charity culture. 2. Students are expected to get to know the epithet such as “Mr. Cool”, “Miss Beauty”,ect.
Ability of thinking Students will be able to analyze the purpose of an ad, find out good sentences in the ad by themselves and then learn to write a good one by imitating. 2. Students are expected to realize that we should do something not just for ourselves, but for those who need help!

Students Analysis Some of the students in our class are good at English while some are quite poor. So on the one hand, the teacher should give the talented students chaces to challenge and improve themseves. And on the other hand, the teacher should also encouge students who are poor at English to speak and help them to be more confident and interested in English.

Step 1 Warming up &Lead in Game “Me too!” T: Hello,everyone! Let’s begin our class! First let’s play a “Me too!” game. I will say something. Some of the shoes are much cheaper than before. My shoes were 300 yuan before, but now they’re only 1o0 yuan. So they are at a great sale. (Bb: at a great sale.) Look at the prices of other shoes, which are at a great sale, too Ss: The blue shoes are at a great sale. T: Let’s look at another store opened by an American-- “John’s Sports Store”. Step 2 Read Read the title and picture What kind of store is it What does it sell Read quickly to paragraph and get the style Divide the passage into 3 parts. The article is a/ an ad. Step 3 Learn to Promote 1. Listen and mark Listen to the whole passage and mark “.”, “↗”, and “↘” on the paper. 2. Imitate the following sentences: Come and buy your clothes at our great sale! For girls, we have skirts in purple for only 20 dollars! Come to Mr. Cool’s clothes Store now! Imitate and learn how to promote.

Step 5 Write and Promote Write Write an ad for your own store,and make it a poster! Practice promoting T: Stand up, face to face with your partner, and promote your own store to your partner.
