Reading(Ⅰ)
Teaching Plan:
Ⅰ．Text Analysis:
The lesson is reading part of Unit7, which was published by Oxford University Press (China) Limited. The theme of this unit is seasons, which to improve students’ ability to get information about seasons through reading.
Ⅱ.Teaching aims:
Of knowledge and skills:
To help students understand the poem about four seasons well;
Of process and methods:
To train the students’ reading abilities about poems, especially experience the beauty of poems, like rhyme and personification;
Of moral education and values:
To learn the spirit of teamwork by pair work or group discussion;
To help students learn to finish writing a poem by themselves;
Ⅲ．Teaching difficulties:
1. To help the students understand the changes of four seasons well;
2. To help the students experience the beauty of poems, like rhyme and personification;
Ⅴ．Teaching methods
1. Task-based Teaching Method;
2. Communicative Teaching Method;
3. Audio-visual Teaching Method;

Multi-media computer system; PPT; chalk; blackboard
Ⅶ. Teaching procedures
Step 1: Check the preview(key words of this lesson)
Step 2: Revision(different seasons have different weather)
Show more pictures about four seasons and ask students to answer:
How is the weather
Step 3: Pre-reading (enjoy the beauty of four seasons)
1.Show some pictures about four seasons with the specific characteristics
2. Ask Ss to fill in the blanks with some key words according to the reading.
Step 4: Fast-reading(Tip:skimming)
Ask Ss to read the passage quickly and match the four pictures with the seasons
Step 5: Careful-reading(Tip:scanning)
1.Read the four seasons of the year and answer some questions
2.Have a try
Step 6: Further-reading(Tip:guessing and scanning)
Enjoy the poem and find the beauty of the poem.
1.Enjoy the beautiful language: personification
2. Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation
3. Read again and find some rules of rhymes in the poem
Step 7:Activities
1. show time: Practise reading the poem in groups and show their beautiful voice
2. Say something about the four seasons
Step 8:Summarize and Homework
For all:
1.Practise reading the poem with feelings.
2.Remember the new words and good sentences in the poem.
For able students:
Search the Internet for more poems to read and try to write a poem about any season of a year.
