八、材料作文
Great Changes in My Hometown
In recent years, great changes have taken place in my hometown. I have seen the changes myself.
In the past, there were no flowers and grass here. There were only narrow and dirty roads. People travelled around the town on foot or by bike. Local people lived in old and small houses. The water was dirty and smelt terrible. What’s worse, some factories put the waste water into the river.
But now everything has changed a lot. There are many beautiful flowers and grass everywhere. The streets are wide and clean. The water is also clean and the air is fresh. And you can see bees and butterflies dancing among the flowers. And people go travelling by bus, taxi or train. Most people have moved into new flats. They have a happy life now. The best time to visit my hometown is in spring because the weather is always sunny then, but not too hot.
Now people are enjoying a comfortable life.
