课程设计理念:本节课是一节听说课,主要内容围绕着“Our Local Area”这一话题展开。新课标倡导教学设计要符合学生的心理特点,设置与实际生活贴近、生动形象、而又与课文相关的场景和学习内容,带动学生的积极性。依据该理念,本节课力求通过活动和情景设计,力求素材来自周边生活,使学生体验到切实的参与,主动、探究的融入学习,从而初步培养他们对“Our Local Area”话题的听说能力。
教材分析: 本节课所处的第三话题,是第六单元的最后一话题,是第一话题(介绍方位),第二话题(描述小区)的后续和综合运用,题目是How can I get to the library (问路指路)。同时,该课有时本话题的第一课,需要承上启下,在巩固旧知的同时,引出新话题,开启第三话题的学习。问路指路话题是学生初次在中学英语学习中接触,对话情景分为三部分,分别以AB对话的形式解决了陌生人问路的实际问题。在Section B部分中,学生们将更全面地学习问路指路的表达和运用,因此,本课的学习又是为进一步的学习做准备。
教学目标:知识目标: Key words: 1. review words about our local area: bank, post office, supermarket… 2. learn words about asking the way and giving directions: along, turn, crossing, meter, across…Key expressions: 1. talk about how to ask the way. e.g. Is there a/an … near here How can I get to … Which is the way to … 2. talk about how to give directions. e.g. Go up/along this street to the end, and … Turn left/right at the first crossing. It’s about … meters along on the left..能力目标: 1. 学生能够快速运用一二话题所学知识介绍自己的地区。2. 学生能在教师的引领下说出自己身边的地点和方位。3. 学生可以读准并运用新单词和新句型进行交流。情感态度目标:乐于描述自己的家乡,并愿意用英语向陌生人提供帮助。 教学重点和难点:1.能够听辨出单元重点词汇、短语和句式,并能在情景交际中正确使用。 2.能够运用本课所学询问地点和路线并做出准确回答。
