The Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, is an imperial palace located at the heart of Beijing, China. It was constructed during the Ming Dynasty and served as the imperial residence for the emperors of China for over 500 years. The Forbidden City is one of the largest and best-preserved ancient palaces in the world.
The palace consists of 980 buildings and covers an area of 180 acres. There are many historical palaces and Buddhist buildings to explore. You will be astonished to see the amazing architectual art beauty of it. Many of the buildings are decorated with intricate carvings, paintings, and exquisite furnishings, showcasing the beauty of ancient Chinese architecture. The Forbidden City is surrounded by a 52-meter wide moat and a 10-meter high wall, providing an extra layer of protection for the palace.
