Part A Let’s try Let’s talk
Aims:
Ss can listen, say, and read the main sentences: Do you know…? Is he young/funny? Yes, he is. No, he isn’t.
Ss can listen, say and understand the following words: friendly, kind, funny, young and old.
Ss can listen and choose the right pictures of Let’s try.
Ss can listen, read and understand the dialogue of Let’s talk.
Ss can ask and answer about their teachers’ characters.
Emphasis and difficult points:
Ss can act out the dialogue and try to recite it..
Ss can use the target language well.
Teaching aids:
PPT, some pictures, some cards, tape, recorder

Step 1 Warm-up and revision
Enjoy a song: “Who is your teacher?”
Guessing game.
Show a pictrue with two fruit trees and let the students know the fruits are different. They are magic fruits. They will change into different letters.
Help the students to know four letters will show our our different words. Let the student’s guess what they are.
通过歌曲导入,让学生了解本节课的教学与他们的教师有关系。
以果树来开启教学似乎有点脱离主要话题。但是对于小学学生来说需要点感官上的刺激,能激起他们的好奇心。
Step2 Presentation and Practice 1
Help the students to know four letters will show our our different words. Let the student’s guess what they are.
n--name ,o--old, s--student , f--friend
Then show a picture of Wu Yifan and get the students to describe him with the words above.
For example: Look at the boy. His name is Wu Yifan. He is 10 years old. He is a student. He has a new friend. His friend is friendly.
Teach “Oliver” in the same way.
Show a picture of a classroom. Wu Yifan and Oliver are in the classroom. They are looking at the album. Wu Yifan: Look! It is a picture of The Voice of China. Then Wu Yifan points at Young Kun and ask: Do you know the man? Oliver asnwer: No, I don’t. Who is he? Wu Yifan: He is Mr Young. Teach: know, young
Ss practice in paris.
A: Do you know the man?
B: No, I don’t. Who is he?
A: He is Mr Young.
通过给字母让学生说单词的形式,能帮助学生巩固已有的词汇,并且希望能培养学生横向联系的能力,希望他们在猜的过程中不要天马行空。
请学生描述前最好先小组讨论,让更多的学生能真正参与课堂教学,几位学生展示后出示范文,同时教学friendly自然而有效。
中国好声音第三季正在热播,相信很多学生都熟悉这些导师,从杨坤入手很自然引出Do you know…?和Mr Young.
两人一组的对话练习能帮助学生更好学习难点句子和重点词Mr Young.
Step 3 Presentation and Practice 2
Show a picture of Young Kun. Students can get some more information about Mr Young by answering two questions. Who’s he? How old is he?
Then help the students to ask and answer: I s he young? Yes, he is./ No, he isn’t.
Ss practise in pairs.
Oliver: Who is he?
Wu: He’s Mr Young.
Oliver: How old is he?
Wu: He’s 41 years old.
Oliver: Oh, he is young.
Wu: Yes, he is funny, too.
Show a picture of a primary school and help the students to know Young Kun isn’t a music teacher of a primary school. Then let the studnets guess who is Wu Yifan’s music teacher. Teach: old
Ss watch the video of the dialogue and let the students find out some information of their music teacher.
Help the students try to describe Mr Young, Wu Yifan’s music teacher.
Ss practise in pairs and some pairs will show the dialogue.
Then let the students listen carefully and find out who is Wu Yifan and Oliver’s maths teacher
通过两个浅显的问题,学生能捕捉到更多相关的信息,从而可以教学Is he young? 由于学生年轻的理解不同,所以同时出现Yes, he is.和No, he isn’t.
两人一组的对话既能巩固主要的句型,又能开启新词funny的教学。

对MrYoung的简单描述能使学生们加深对主要词汇和语言的掌握。

Step 5 Consolidation and extension
Give them a modle and some key words and let the students talk about their teachers.
They can talk like this:
T: Who’s your Chinese teacher?
S: Miss Chen.
T: Is she kind?
S: Yes, she is
Homework
a. Listen and repeat the dialogue 5 times.
b. Make a mini dialogue with your partner.
c. Finish the exercises in workbook.
