I. Analysis of teaching material
1. Teaching model: reading and speaking 2. Teaching period: period 1 3 Status and function:The teaching content is Unit 2 Module 3 for the first term Grade 7 students, which is published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. This module mainly talks about “my school”which is about the furniture in the classroom and the buildings in the school!.This unit plays a great part in Module3.It’s helpful to improve students’ reading and speaking ability and it will provide a good preparation for the following writing task of this module. Reading belongs to input during the process of learning English but speaking belongs to output in it. Therefore, if students can learn this unit well, it will be of great help for the rest of the module. 4. Analysis of students:Students in Grade 7 have been learning English for almost of 5 years and they can understand the simple passage. At the same time, they are curious about topic "junior middle school ". The students at this age are interested in the new things,so I design the guessing game which is to guess the building in our school to challenge them.Some students are brave to answer the questions but some are not.I will try my best to encourage students to answer the questions.I believe my students will learn the new knowledge step by step and enjoy themselves.
Il Teaching aims
1.Knowledge objects:Enable students to perceive and understand some key words about the topic. 2.Ability objects:Enable students to look at the pictures and get the main idea of the article by reading the key words. Emotion objects:Enable students to get on well with everyone and value the school life and love our school.
Ill. Teaching important and difficult points
1. Important points:The first is to Enable students to understand the passage and find specific information to label the map so that they can get the main structure of the text.The second is to enable students to introduce Betty’s school. 2.Difficult points:Enable students to introduce our school with the new prepositions

VII.Teaching reflection:
In this class I used a video to present the key words, and the students are very interested in it. Besides, I created a situation for students to learn key sentences. However, there are some shortcomings. I should evaluate students in a variety of ways.And when we did some reading ,we should read the questions first.So I will pay more attention on these and study harder and harder.
