【教学目标 】
1.Language Aims(语言目标)
(1)学会描述正在发生的事件的单词、短语及相关句型。
Key vocabularies:

Key structures:
1) They’re waiting for buses or trains.
2) At this moment, in different places of the world people are doing different things.
3) People aren’t having dinner.

2.Ability Aims(能力目标):
能读懂使用现在进行时介绍世界不同时区的人们正在做的事情的文章。
能根据图片、真实行为等写出简短的句子来描述自己或他人正在做的事情的文章。
3.Emotion Aims(情感目标):
了解中西方文化差异,找准位置,创造属于自己的充满意义的人生。
【教学重难点】
重难点:能使用现在进行时描述自己或他人正在做或正在发生的事情。
【教学策略目标】 通过小组合作的方式,学会合作学习。
二.教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up (营造氛围,导入新课)
Vocabulary practice.

Step 2 Lead-in:
1)T: What’re you doing now
Show some pictures, ask the students to look at the pictures, then talk about something about the pictures.

[设计意图]:结合图片设置语境,使词汇的练习结合在语境中,同时排除部分阅读障碍。
2)Think:In different places of the world,are people doing the same thing
[设计意图]:联系学生生活,导入时区概念,观看时区简短视频,激发学习兴趣。
Step 3 Reading
Task 1 Fast reading
Find out the times in these five cities.
学生自读,完成表格,快速找到对应城市的时间。
[设计意图]:训练学生快速抓住关键信息的能力,同时进一步在脑海中形成时区概念,为下一步的表达做好头脑预设。

学生再读文章,将图片和文章段落匹配,培养学生识别细节信息的能力,同时使用现在进行时进行语言的表达。
[设计意图]:考察学生抓住细节信息的能力,进一步理解文章。在回答问题的过程中,进行了目标语言的输出和巩固。
Task 2 Careful reading
1.Read part A and say “T”or“ F”.
1) In London, it’s five o’clock in the afternoon and people are working.
2) Some people are driving home ,some people are getting off buses or trains.
3) Nobody is having afternoon tea at home or having a drink.
学生个体阅读,利用短语提示复述伦敦人们正在做什么。
2 .Read Part B and underline the correct words.
In Moscow, it’s eight o’clock in the morning/evening, and people are/aren’t having afternoon tea. They are having dinner/breakfast. Some are going to the factory/theatre or watching a film. Some are watching television/reading books or playing football/games at home.
学生个体阅读,结合表格提示说出莫斯科人们正在做什么。
[设计意图]:采用层层递进的任务设置,同时和句子练习时的图片相关联,降低任务难度,同时小组练习增强了合作意识,降低了表达时的恐惧感。
3.Group work.
Q: What are they doing in these photos
学生小组合作,互相练习,然后采用提问的方式进行表达。
[设计意图]:创造结合生活的情境,提升学习的热情,增强了合作意识,同时也学会真实语境下的语言应用,降低了任务难度和学生表达时的恐惧感。

学生个体阅读,补全报道。

[设计意图]:口头作业和书写作业相结合。同时将课堂学习延伸到家庭中,增强学习的趣味性,巩固学习内容。
