Many people choose to leave their hometown and villages to search for work in the city. Among these people is Zhong Wei, a 46-year-old husband and father. He has lived in Wenzhou for almost 13 years. With a busy job in a crayon factory, he doesn’t have time to return to his village often. On a recent visit,he said,“ It’s a shame that I had to leave my hometown. I’ve always wanted to move back. It has improved so much since I left.”
