一、教学目标:
1.能够听、说、认读本课的重点单词:was , then, grandparent, were, young, old, hair, so ,short, long.
2.能初步理解并使用was ,were来谈论过去的事情和情况。
3.能发现人物和事物过去与现在的变化,培养学生善于观察的能力。
二、教学重点和难点:
1.听、说、认读单词:was , then, grandparent, were, young, old, hair, so ,short, long.
2.使用“was”“were”描述从过去到现在发生的变化。
三、教具准备:多媒体课件、单词卡
四、教学过程:
Step1:Warming
1)Sing a song:《I was fat》
2)Sharp eyes(复习之前学过的形容词)
Step2: Presentation
1)课件出示Sam小时候的照片,T:Who is he Guess之后再出示Sam现在的照片。T:How old was he Let’s listen.播放活动一之后回答问题再播放一边让学生跟读.
2)课件展示教师自己的近照和两岁时的照片。
T:Look ,this is me. I was two then. 板书课题齐读
I was short then. Now I am tall.板书
教授新单词was then 运用单词卡教授,开火车读,男女生读
3)课件出示课件出示Lingling和Amy在谈论的照片.
T: Lingling and Amy are talking about their changes. Do you know who are they
Listen and answer
Q:Who are they (整体播放一遍录音感知课文)
教授新词grandparents
4)接着再出示They were then. Now they are .询问他们的变化。(播放片段录音)
教授新词young,old
5)Listen, follow and judge

多媒体出示活动四的练习,让学生观察对比图中过去和现在的变化之后两人一组分别谈论变化的内容
【设计意图】通过照片的对比及图片的操练,进一步让学生明确了过去到现在发生的变化,做到了学以致用又培养了学生善于观察的能力。
2)Now let’s talk about your changes. Please take out your photos.
呈现学生的照片,再让学生上台描述自己的变化.

教师示范唱《两只老虎》版自编歌曲。
