Step 1 warming up
1.Greet the students and get them ready for learning.
Enjoy the song, Do Re Mi.
2. Ask the students to make up sentences with the linking verbs and adjectives.
Step 2 Presentation
1.Let the students finish pre-reading task.
Ask the students to look at the picture and the words in the box and guess what the text is about.
2.Ask the students to skim la and check the pre-reading task.
3.FinishIb. Ask the students to read the statements in 1b. Then finish the table in 1b.
4. Ask the students to read the whole passage again, check the answer.
5. Ask the students to scan the passage and answer the questions in 1c.
Then check the answers together.
Step 3 Consolidation
1.Ask the students to read through the passage and find out the linking verb+ adjective structure.
2. Play the recording without stopping.
3.Ask the students to find out the difficult points and sum up the main points of the passage.
4. Make a summary to explain key points and difficult points to the alone 独自的,单独的,说明客观存在。

Finish 2a. Ask the students to make an interview in groups. Member B acts Michael. Member C, D, E and F answer Member B's questions of 2a. Then Member A reports the interview. This part can be finished after class by themselves.)
