(一)“双减”政策
随着义务教育阶段“双减”政策的全面实施，合理安排课外生活对初中生尤为重要。某报刊“青少年”专栏以“我们丰富的课外生活”为主题开展征文活动。请你以“Our Colorful Life after School”为题，写一篇英语短文介绍丰富多彩的课外生活，推荐你最喜欢的活动并说明原因。
Our Colorful Life after School
Life after school is an important part of our daily life. How can we make it more colorful We can take part in different volunteer activities. We can develop our hobbies and interests, like singing, dancing and so on. We should often get close to nature through outdoor activities, such as climbing mountains and camping.
We can also learn some useful skills in our daily life, such as cooking. I like singing because it is also a good way to relax. Besides, in the music club, I can make many friends. All in all, after school activities make my life more colorful and meaningful.
(二)劳动教育
近日，教育部发布了《义务教育劳动课程标准(2022年版)》，并根据不同学段制定了“整理与收纳”“家庭清洁与烹饪”等日常生活劳动的目标。为了呼吁同学们积极参与劳动，你校将举办一场主题为“A Voice for the Hard working Spirit”的演讲比赛。请你完成一篇英语演讲稿。
A Voice for the Hard working Spirit
Recently, the labor course has become a hot topic. As a middle school student, I welcome it warmly. The hard working spirit education is necessary and it helps to build us up.
In order to develop the hard working spirit, we should have classes to learn some basic life skills at school every week.
We should value the importance of working hard through our experience. We can also take part in community volunteer services, which are part of labor education.
Labor education doesn't simply mean asking us to do laboring work. It's more about teaching us how to live a better life. Through labor work, we can get more life experience, which is much more important for our future.

(三)全民运动

Life lies in exercise. Nowadays, doing sports is becoming more and more popular in China.
As for me, I like taking part in different kinds of sports, like football, basketball, walking, swimming and so on. And I also like to watch sports matches. My favorite sport is swimming. I enjoy swimming like a lovely fish in the pool. Swimming can make me strong and healthy. It can also bring me a lot of happiness. I can also relax myself completely and enjoy myself in the water.
As we all know, sports can keep us healthy, so I think we students should keep on doing sports regularly. I plan to exercise for half an hour every day, such as walking, playing basketball, playing football or swimming. And I'll invite my friends to exercise with me after school.

Enjoy Reading, Enjoy Life
Reading has become part of our life. It can not only open our minds, but also make us relaxed and more knowledgeable. Our study can be improved if we read more good books.
Many students have difficulty in reading. Some students don't like reading, because they think it is boring. Some students have no time to read. They think reading is a waste of time. In my opinion, we can learn a lot of interesting things from books as long as we keep reading.
Books are our friends, so let's read them from now on.
(五)环境保护

Dear schoolmates，
Recently, it's said that the use of textbooks is becoming a big waste. Our school has done research on recycling textbooks.
38% of the students think textbooks should not be recycled, because they think some students want to take notes by themselves. Also, they are worried about public health. However, 62% of the students think textbooks should be recycled because recycling textbooks is a good way to save the forest. For another reason, it's good for us to learn some good notes from others.
In my opinion, it is necessary to recycle textbooks. Recycling textbooks can not only save resources but also help us save money.

(六)美育中考
继体育纳进中考后，有人提议，美育也同样重要，音乐、美术等科目也应该纳入中考。这一话题引起了很大反响，有人支持，也有人反对。音乐、美术科目是否应该成为中考科目？请你写一篇英语短文谈谈自己的看法。
Recently many students have discussed whether the high school entrance examination should include music and art. They have different opinions about it. Some students think music and art should enter the high school entrance examination. They think students should have more chances to study music and art. And they will be happier and have a better life in the future.
Others disagree. They think students have too many subjects to study for the exams. If music and art enter the high school entrance examination, students have to prepare for more subjects. As a result, they will be more tired and feel more pressure, and their other subjects will be influenced.
In my opinion, music and art can enter the high school entrance examination. But only the students who are interested in music and art should have the exams. They can go to different senior schools to study music or art. In the future, they can major in music or art in a college.
(七)积极的心态
青少年在成长的过程中总会遇到困难和沮丧(frustration), 改变心态是我们应该采取的积极态度。改变能够使我们成为更好的自己。请你结合自身经历，写一篇英语短文。
As is known to all, difficulty and frustration are a necessary part of our life. In my view, the best way to deal with them is to change ourselves actively and positively.
I still remember when I got into Grade 9, I became fat and had zits on my face because of stress. Feeling upset, I always lowered my head while walking and was afraid of being laughed at. One day, my mum said, “Since you can't change the situation right now, why not change yourself by smiling happily, showing your kindness and offering help when necessary？” I took her advice and found fatness and zits were not as terrible as I had thought.
Change has made me become a better self and I think we should take an optimistic attitude toward difficulty and frustration.
