Difficult points:
Some students are afraid of standing in front of the classmates to give a show. The teacher should try to encourage students to speak more English in class.
Teaching process:
Step 1: Warming up
Review and recall some fairy tales they know, and tell them my favorite characters.
Step 2: Reading
Fast reading:
1) Find out the main characters of this fairy tale.
Explain the new words and read it aloud,and write them on the blackboard.
2) The story is divided into three parts, match the main idea with each part.
Detailed-Reading
1) Read part 1 and answer the questions
Where did they live
What do you think of the woman and her daughter
2) Read part 2&3 and fill in the blanks
What did they do
What did they say
What’s the personalities of them
Part 2 The wizard rewarded Charity

4 people are in a group,one plays for Charity, one plays for the wizard/ beggar, and the rests plays for the woman and her daughter,
Special actions, words are welcomed
Group-work: Students try to prepare for the show.
Presentation: The teacher invites 3 groups to show the story by standing in front of classmates.
Step 4: Summary
Emotional education
T: Charity is not just a girl’s name. It means to provide help and money for those in need. So love and be kind to the people around you: love your family, your teachers and classmates.
Step 5: Homework
Share the story with your parents and classmates.
Think about something kind you have done or others did it for you; write it down with the feelings and thoughts.
