Man-mademeat Meat grown in labs might be another kind of future food. People use stem cells(干细胞) from animals to grow the meat. Chicken, beef and pork can all be made this way. Man-made meat can be healthier than traditional meat. People can control what kind of fat goes into the meat. They can choose only healthy fats.
Veggie meat (素食肉类) A new kind of burger is now popular in the United States. It looks and tastes the same as any other burger. But in fact its “beef” burger is made out of plants. The company behind the burger, Impossible Foods, uses beans and potatoes to make the “beef”. They take coloring, protein(蛋白质) and fats from these plants and mix them together. Making meat out of plants uses less water and land than raising animals for meat. It also creates fewer greenhouse gases. Some food companies are making chicken, pork and other meat out of plants, too.
Algae(藻类) BBC said algae farming could become the world's biggest farming industry in the future. They pointed out that algae is cheap and grows very quickly. Also, it is very healthy. Sports clothes Check. Water bottle Check. Breakfast Um… It's something that has caused a heated discussion among people who go to the sport center early in the morning. And now a study has finally found out whether to exercise before or after breakfast.
Researchers analyzed the energy spending of 12 healthy, active men aged 20 to 26. Each of them completed three different tests: eating a breakfast of oats(燕麦) and milk and then resting, eating the same breakfast 2 hours before exercising for 1 hour, and doing the same 1 hour of exercise without having breakfast. The study showed that fasted(空腹) exercise is the best for weight loss.
“These results suggest that for healthy young men, a short-term energy deficit(缺乏) may be more easily achieved if they exercise without breakfast,” the study's writers said.
Here's how it works: When you do fasted exercise, your body doesn't have ready energy from food, so it gets from other things, like the body fat, which makes you burn fat more easily by exercise and help you lose weight. Also, exercising in a fasted state keeps your insulin(胰岛素) level low, allowing your body to produce more growth hormone(激素), which also burns fat.
When insulin is increased—as is the case after you eat—your body will want to store fat, not burn it. It doesn't matter whether you exercise like a crazy man after a meal, because you won't be able to burn body fat until insulin levels drop.
( )26. ____ has been hotly discussed by people going to the sports center early in the morning.
A. What food they should eat for breakfast
B. Whether to eat before or after they exercise
C. What kind of drink they should bring to the sports center

( )27. What does the underlined word “analyzed” in Paragraph 2 probably mean
A. Doubted. B. Produced.
C. Developed. D. Studied.
D
( )28. What can we learn from the three tests
A. The people who took part in the test are under the age of 26.
B. All the people in the tests ate breakfast.
C. Twelve people were divided into three groups.
D. They were done by twelve researchers from the US.
A
( )29. Which of the following will make you burn fat
A. Keeping your insulin levels balanced.

Open an app, place your order, and wait for your food to be delivered(递送) to your home—this is how many people eat in China these days. It's said that 544 million Chinese people use online food delivery services.
Which group of people is ordering food online the most It's mainly young people. A recent report shows that 75.5 percent of the service's users are between 18 and 35 years old. These people may live in small families which depend greatly on food delivery services. According to another report, Chinese families have changed in size over the past ten years. In 2002, only 7.7 percent of families were single-person households. But this number increased to 25 percent in 2020. The percentage of two-person families rose from 18.4 in 2002 to 27.2 in 2020. For small families, cooking is more time-and-resource-consuming(耗时耗材), so ordering food online has become more popular.

As we all know, with the development of technology, there are more and more apps of ordering food online in our daily life.
More and more people are using these apps to order food online because it saves time and is quite convenient for people. Also, our way of eating is changing rapidly.
Ordering food online does good to us. On the one hand, we can enjoy delicious food without leaving home. On the other hand, there are different kinds of food for us to choose online. However, every coin has two sides. Ordering food online also brings us a lot of problems. For example, the look of the food is not so good as that in the restaurants. What's worse, we may eat unclean or unhealthy food without knowing.
I hope our government can make some laws and pay more attention to the food safety and the use of such apps. Only in this way can we make good use of this technology.
