T: The earthquake that hit Wenchuan caused great losses, many people lost their lives and many more people lost their families and homes. I know all of you have donated money to disaster areas. As students who are going to have High School Entrance Examination, we can do nothing except this. But if you were a famous person / a nurse / a soldier / a college student, what would you do? Work in groups. In your group one is a reporter, he / she interviews the others.

Teaching Reflection(教学反思)
这节课的教学基本达到了预期目标,通过听说读写,使学生掌握了虚拟语气主要句型:What would you do if you had a million dollars? If I had a million dollars, I’d give it to charity. 同时通过汶川地震这个话题,对学生进行了常识安全教育,也引导学生要有爱心,学会关爱他人。 但是也存在一些不足:比如,由于紧张忘记展示一幅图片,忘记让学生齐读主要句型,忘记多解释一下绿丝带的含义。在口语教学中,有些还不是很流利。我会在以后的教学中多加注意,争取教学水平再上一个台阶。

一、教材分析
(一)、教材的地位与作用
本单元是九年制义务教育课程标准实验教科书[新目标英语]Go for it!九年级 Uint 4 What would you do?新目标英语采用任务型语言教学的模式,融会话题,交际功能,和语言结构,教学内容突出文化背景知识,教学活动体现学生的学习策略和学习情感。本单元的主题是谈论一些假设的、虚拟的情况,用虚拟语气表达自己还没有实现的愿望,以及如何使用虚拟语气提出建议。本节课主要是学习虚拟语气“If + subject + simple past verb, subject + would + verb”这一语言结构并通过学习这一语言结构了解说英语的国家人们对金钱的态度,并借此培养学生正确的价值观,人生观。
(二)、教学目标
结合以上教材分析,本节课我设计了一个知识目标、一个能力目标和一个情感价值目标。根据新课标要求:激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯,使学生掌握一定的英语基础知识和听说读写技能形成一定的综合语言应用运用能力,将本课时的教学目标确定如下:
1、知识目标:
(1)学习单词:million, medical, research ,tie, worry, what if;
(2)学习掌握句型:What would you do if you had a million dollars( a lot of money)?
I’d (=I Would) give it to charity.
If I were you, I would….
2、能力目标:
(1)能够谈论自己的想象。
(2)能够询问他人的想象。
3、情感目标:
(1)通过活动、演示使学生产生学习英语的兴趣,让学生乐于开口,积极参与交流。
(2)在学习过程中,培养学生对待金钱的正确态度,学会关心和帮助他人。
确立教学目标的依据:
根据新课程标准的规定,通过听、说、读、写的训练,使学生获得英语基础知识和初步运用英语进行交际的能力,激发学生的学习兴趣,为进一步的学习打好初步基础。此外,根据我国国情、新课程标准的要求,现阶段英语教学的素质主要包括思想素质教育、潜在英语能力的培养、非智力因素的培养等几个方面。
(三)、教学重点、难点
重点 :学习掌握句型:
What would you do if you had a million dollars( a lot of money)?
I’d (=I Would) give it to charity.
If I were you, I would…….
难点:熟练运用本课句型并理解虚拟语气和条件状语从句的区别。
二、学生学情分析
我所教的班级是农村初级中学的普通班,大多学生较晚接触过英语,只有上了初中才开始学。由于学生的基础相当薄弱,水平不一,所以我在教学的过程中会尽量让所有学生都参与到活动中来。经过几年的学习,学生已学习了WH问句及一般现在时,一般过去时,一般将来时,过去进行时,现在完成时,具备一定的听、说、读、写基础,对学习本单元的知识做了很好的铺垫。从心里上看,九年级的学生已形成了自己的人生观,价值观,对外界事物有了自己初步的看法,但又不能完全用英语表达出来。同时,九年级的学生学习任务重,精神较紧张,因此更加需要老师在课堂上运用生动活泼,形式多样的教学手段来激发学生的学习积极性和自信心。
三、教法和学法
教法:任务型教学法、情景交际法、各种互动式融合法 1、突出重点,突破难点:通过听力训练、句型展示、小组活动等多种形式反复操练重点句型,巩固所学知识,提高灵活运用能力,通过操练和幻灯片展示帮助学生更好地领会语法。 2、任务型教学法:倡导体验参与,培养自主学习能力。先创设语境让他们感知,然后在让他们自己归纳出虚拟语气的结构,这样他们就会有一种成功感,从而提高学习的兴趣。
3、“为用而学,用中学,学了就用”:善于抓住用英语交际的机会,充分感知,联系实际,积极体验,大胆实践。 4、借助多媒体辅助教学,形象、生动,使课堂容量相对增加,给学生提供更多的语言实践机会,有利于综合语言运用能力的提高。 5、教具:电脑多媒体、磁带、录音机等。
学法:听说法、讨论法、各种合作式学习法
1、?学会预习:发挥学生的主观能动性,变被动学习为主动学习,带着问题有目的地听课,可以更好地把握课堂的重点和难点,提高课堂效率。
2、“Teach?English?in?English”:?即新课标倡导的“用英语教英语”,尽量用英语教学,创造英语课堂良好的听的环境,让学生充分感知,积极体验,大胆实践,把握用英语交际的机会,鼓励学生大胆开口说英语。 3、合作学习:积极参与2人或4人小组对话或活动,相互交流,互帮互助,合作完成任务,培养团队精神,更好地掌握本课所学知识。
四、教学过程
本节课的教学过程我设计了以下七个环节:

Step1 热身(Warming-up):
??? 教师可以用多媒体或图片呈现一些让人意想不到的情景,比如一个人掉进了动物园里的老虎山,险象环生;或者是一个在沙漠中迷路的人,一筹莫展等等,用“身处困境中,你会怎么做”来引导学生进行思考,进入本课主题。例如:展示一张图片:海边沙滩上,一个人在为另一个人拍照,背景是一个十米高的巨浪正在扑上来。T: What can you see in the picture? S: We can see a man is taking a photo by the sea.T: What is coming? S: A large wave.
(教师可以采用各种不同情形的图片,以叙述的形式拉开话题,制造悬念,吸引学生注意力。)
?Step2 呈现(Presentation):
What would you do if you were the man?
(告诉学生,这是一种虚拟的假设,他们不可能是这位男人,纯属虚构)。
进入本课主题:?What would you do ??
Step3 操练(practice):

(板书,突出动词的形式)
S: I will run away with my friend.
?T: I would run away. Because the thing hasn’t happened to us. And we should say “I would run away as quickly as possible. =I’d run away as quickly as possible”.
(让学生给出不同的回答,强调动词的过去时态以及I would=I’d)

(通过老师不断强化句型,学生记忆加深,后面可以利用所学的模式进行下面的训练。)
(2)结对练习(Pairwork)
另外再展示一些类似的图片让学生操练句型:

??? (通过反复操练,巩固句型,体会虚拟语气的语法结构,为后面的讨论作铺垫。)
Step4 巩固(Consolidation):
(1)利用彩票引出lottery

?? (利用实物引出生词,采用学生感兴趣的热门话题,激发他们讨论的热情。)
(2)教学1b.听力训练(Listening)

(通过听对话,选出他们想做的事情,既训练了听力,也让学生了解了别人对一些状况的阐述)
(3)教学小组练习(Groupwork)

让学生自由讨论,并写下他们想做的事情。Act out some interesting or special conversations.
(挑选一些比较有趣的想法的小组给全班表演,活跃课堂气氛,鼓励学生开口问,大胆说。)

(4)教学听力训练2a,2b(Listening)
??? 教师问学生“What would you do if you went to a party? ”来引入听力,接着 问他们“What would you wear?”“What would you bring? ”“Who would you talk to? ”,让一些学生回答,接着再问“What if you don’t know anyone at the party?”引出新词nervous,“I think you would feel nervous.”
告诉学生通过听力我们将知道“Why is Larry nervous?”听2a圈答案
(初步听信息,由学生给出答案,如果不同意见教师进行解释,最后给出正确答案。)

(根据对话内容,进一步选出信息。由学生给出答案,如果不同意见教师进行解释,最后给出正确答案。听力循序渐进,由简至难)
(5)教学结对练习(Pairwork)

(重点让学生熟练运用句型,学会用它来表达一些虚拟的情景和相应的反应,培养他们的应变能力,拓展他们本课所学知识。)
Step5 总结(sum-up):
先由同学总结本课所学知识,再由老师做结论。

(巩固主要词汇和句型,让学生在学习中通过接受新知识、观察知识结构,学会归纳总结,进一步培养他们主动获取知识和信息的能力。)

五、教学设计理念
本节课的话题是Talk about imaginary situations, 语法要点是the subjunctive mood。由于话题离学生的实际生活有差距,因此教师要在课堂上创设真实的情景让学生感知、操练、运用目标语言,进而总结其中的语法规则,并充分调动学生的积极性,做到“做中学,学中用”。一个枯燥的话题难以引起学生的兴趣,因此在第一课时我就用提问的方式自然地引入话题“假如你是这位男人,你会怎么做?”这一谈论假想的情况的话题,极大地激起了学生的兴趣,学生们争相说出自己的看法,接触并初步熟悉了假设、虚拟语气的相关句式。另外,九年级这个年龄段的学生,有较强的表现欲,对事物有自己独到的看法,并强烈希望得到别人的认同,思维能力有了一定的发展。在开展话题讨论时,难免有学生会乘机起哄,这就需要老师适时引导,培养学生正确的价值观,人生观。但是第一课时教学时听力和思考活动耗时较多,口语练习显得偏少,在以后的教学时要注意均衡安排各项活动时间。
