Pre-listening
Before you listen, discuss the question in groups.
1. If you have the chance to travel anywhere in the world, where would you go
The Eiffel Tower
As a famous architecture in the world, nobody will miss the chance to visit the Eiffel Tower since it is the symbol of Paris.
Lijiang, China
Among travellers ,Lijiang is considered a world-class tourist destination, partly because of its Old Town ,which is a World Heritage Site.
Neuschwanstein Castle is a palace built in 1869 which is meant as a fanciful representation of an old castle from a fairy tale or a romantic story.
The Tianshan Mountain Range goes through Xinjiang in western China, which plays an important role in the myths and traditions of many ethnic groups in western China and has been named a World Heritage Site.

2. What do you need to do to prepare for the trip
Pre-listening
To prepare for the trip, I would need to save some money, because travelling in Paris is rather expensive. I would also buy new luggage, and then research the best places to visit and try to book an economical hotel room. Finally, I would buy a guidebook to learn about the city and also a phrase book so I could learn some French to help me get around and be able to read restaurant menus. I also need to get a passport and apply for a visa to travel there.
