Ss(师帮助学生回答): You can swim.
师板书单词swim(生举起手指一起书写)
2. T(做游泳很快的动作): What can I do
Ss: You can swim fast.
师板书单词fast(生用手指写)
3. 用同样的方法引出run, run fast, jump, jump high, throw, throw far, fly, fly high
用这样的方法引人单词、词组,层层深入,既形象,又便于学生接受掌握。
单词呈现出后,教师带读,学生带读,让学生掌握单词、词组的读音,为后面的游戏做准备。
Step 3 Practice
Game—throw a bomb
T draws a bomb after a word or phrase. If there isn’t a bomb after the word, students should read after the teacher. If there is a bomb, students should not read after the teacher. Other students throw a bomb to those who read it.
通过这个游戏让学生集中注意力,在玩中掌握单词、词组的读音。
Step 4 Look and say
One student comes to the front of the classroom and makes some actions, T asks “what can he/she do”, the other students answer “he/she can…”
让学生在活动中掌握单词、词组及熟悉句型,为后面句型的操练作铺垫。

Show the exercises to the Ss.

Step 6 Learn the sentence patterns
1. T shows the picture of Liu Xiang and asks “what can he do”. Ss answer “he can run fast”.(师帮助学生回答)
同时呈现句型“What can he do ”“He can…”并带读,学生跟读。
Show the picture of Zhang Lin to practice the sentence “he can swim fast”.
Show the picture of Yao Ming to practice the sentences “he can jump high” and “he can throw far”.
Show a bird’s picture to practice “it can fly high”.

S1: I can run fast.(回答是伴有动作)
T: What can he/she do
Ss: He/She can run fast.
多叫几个同学操练这几个句型,让学生在有声有形的活动中掌握这些句型。

Present the questions:

Ss read the questions and then listen to the video for two times. Ss listen to the video again to check the answers and read after it.
通过课文内容再一次巩固所学句型
Step 8 Look and say
T Show the sentence cards and Ss read it.
师会不时地翻动卡片,翻动其中一个单词或两个单词的卡片整个句子就会发生改变,以此巩固学生所学的单词及句子。
